An expanded version of SD Hiryuu no Ken, a game from within Hiryuu no Ken: Twin (Flying Dragon overseas), was released in Japan only, adding more characters (such as Jack, Ryu, and Gofire from the Super Chinese series), items and a new gameplay mode. It also removed the more realistic "Virtual Mode", favoring the super deformed "Quest Mode".

Create your ideal fighting game using the customizable interface. Choose between RPG-style and "virtual" tournament combat. The game has over 20 different characters and 200 different items. Save your characters on a Controller Pak and play them against your friends! While the Western version calls the two distinct game styles as "modes", the original Japanese version calls them as "games" in the in-game options, and as "games" and "modes" on advertisements.

Mortal Kombat: Armageddon brags a roster of 62 characters and sees the return of classic ones from the original Mortal Kombat, such as Reptile, Shang Tsung and Goro. The enhanced Konquest mode (story/adventure mode) improves over the preceding versions, but has a shorter length. There are now 64 arenas (including revamped versions of classic environments) which each have their own tweaks, such as the ridiculous amount of stage fatalities (fatalities are a fancy way of killing your opponent, including classic techniques such as the "spine-rip" or "arm-break").

Yusha: Heaven's Gate is a 3D fighting game with an arcade and Vs. mode. The player can choose from one of the eight combatants that are available at the start, with a few more characters being available once their unlocked. Each character has a different nationality, specialty, and lineage. Each character represents either a good or an evil alignment and depending on the character chosen, it affects which final boss the player will have to fight against. Defending, punching and kicking are on three separate buttons. There are variations of each of these moves depending on how quick the button is pressed. Consistently damaging or taking damage from an opponent will add to a sol or lunar (depending on the character the player is playing as) power gauge. When this gauge is filled, the player is temporarily invincible and allows the player to use strong power assault moves.

A successor to Arika's Street Fighter EX series. With a roster identical to Street Fighter EX2 Plus, FEXL stands out by introducing chain combos, running, and the "Gougi" system, which allows the player to change the properties of their character - or even the game's system - by fulfilling certain requirements mid-match.

The gameplay system is similar to that of the Street Fighter EX series (also developed by Arika), such as canceling supers into other supers, and universal guard-break attack
