No-one likes a and loser. And no-one comes more universally despised than Xenites. For a thousand years they have been plotting revenge for their humiliating defeat in the last Galactic Conflict. Now the very fabric of time is in danger. The Xenites have planted five Time Bombs through history. Only you can save the day - not to mention the Universe. The last time you met it was a playground scrap. This time it is war.

Xenon is a 1988 vertical scrolling shooter computer game, developed by The Bitmap Brothers and published by Melbourne House which was then owned by Mastertronic. Xenon was followed in 1989 by Xenon 2: Megablast. The player assumes the role of Darrian, a future space pilot called into action by a mayday report from his superior on a nebula space station. As of late, the colonies of mankind have been under attack by mysterious and violent aliens called the Xenites and it is finally time for Darrian to engage them. Unlike most scrolling shooters, the player can move in any direction instead of straight up. The player craft has two modes, a flying plane and a ground tank. The transition between crafts can be initiated at almost any time during play (except during the mid- and end-of-level boss sections, as well as certain levels where a certain mode is forced), and the mode chosen depends on the nature of the threat the player faces. Destroying some enemies released power-ups the player could catch to enhance their ship.

One or two players (in hot-seat or cooperative mode) control a spaceship equipped with a laser cannon which can be charged (by holding the shooting button down) for a stronger blast. Besides the main weapon, three special weapons are available: a wall of fire which wipes the screen up in a wave, a nova-like blast and a circle of spherical-green homing missiles.

Titus the Fox: To Marrakech and Back was released in 1992. The main character of the game is a fox. His beloved Suzy has been kidnapped on the other side of the Sahara desert, and to get her back he has to advance through 15 levels. Player's goal is to avoid dogs, construction workers, giant bees and similar creatures. The player can fight back by throwing objects back at them, or - most notably - picking walking enemies up from behind and throwing them as projectiles at other obstacles. The game features a code-based "saving" system, with the codes calculated uniquely for each machine.

30 years on, the battle for our world's future continues. Super Robot Wars is a tactical RPG that brings characters and robots from a variety of mecha anime together to battle their mutual foes.

A vertically-scrolling shoot 'em up in the Xevious franchise. Adds bosses, power-ups and a story to the Xevious model.

Gorf actually consists in the Arcade version of five different types of space shooters. The first one ist basically is a Space Invaders clone. In the second one a formation of space ships is hovering at the top of the screen while single space ships will disengage from the formation and dive down at you. The third variant is a Glaxian clone and only available in the Arcade version. In the fourth mini-game the enemy will come out of a circular hyperspace field and attack you. After having destroyed four of your attackers the game proceeds to the fifth game stage. Here a huge mothership is dropping bombs at you from the top of the screen. You defeat the mothership with a well placed projectile hitting it between its two major sections. After that the game starts from the gebinning on a higher difficulty level.

Excellent sequel to the classic original "Raiden". As in the original, players control a fighter jet/spaceship through various levels while shooting down other planes and bombing tanks on the ground.

The multiplayer mode for Lone Echo that got out of control and became a standalone game. Free to all, players can squad up or individually progress during each new Echo Pass season in order to earn new Echo Points to unlock exciting rewards. Players can also purchase Echo Points, or upgrade to a premium Echo Pass to triple the amount of rewards earned throughout the Season. Players can currently redeem Echo Points through Echo Pass or unlock bundles, featured items and limited-item items in the Echo Shop. Pragmata is a sci-fi action-adventure game set in the near future. The story follows Hugh and his android companion Diana as they navigate a Lunar research station. Gameplay incorporates action elements alongside mechanics involving interaction with systems within the environment.
