In this, the fourth Tekken game in the series, and the first for the Playstation 2, you can duel it out with all your favourite characters from past Tekken games with the new tag feature (as the title suggests). You simply choose two characters to battle with, and during the fight you can swap the characters on screen.

Tekken 8 is the eighth canon release and tenth overall entry in the Tekken series. The game's story features 32 former and new characters, each with their own narrative that contributes to the overall story. Tekken 8 features upgraded fighting elements and systems from its predecessor, it also introduces brand-new mechanics such as the "Heat" system and "Tornado" hits. From the Tekken series, Kazuya Mishima brings his demonic DNA into the fray as a DLC fighter in the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate game. Kazuya’s fighting style captures the distinct style of the Tekken series as he gets up close and personal with heavy strikes and incredible comeback power. His specials tap into his Devil Gene with moves like the beam-shooting Devil Blaster and high-flying Devil Wings. The son of Tekken icon Heihachi Mishima, Kazuya has a chip on his shoulder and destructive power. What makes Kazuya Mishima unique in this game are his standard attacks—rather than 4 directional standard attacks, he has 8. This addition of diagonal inputs mimics his abilities in the Tekken games and make him an unpredictable fighter with a lot of combo options. The stage added with this fighter is the Mishima Dojo, which starts out with all four directions closed off. A strong launch or direct attack can shatter the walls and ceilings, allowing for opponents to get KO’d.

Two years have passed since the last King of Fighters tournament and nobody has seen Kyo Kusanagi or Iori Yagami since they defeated Orochi at the climax of the 1997 tournament, but out of the blue, new invitations are sent out to many characters, inviting them to a brand new tournament, though this competition is more of a secretive affair than the ones in '96 and '97. Unlike in previous games of the series, there are four characters per team instead of three, with the fourth serving as a "Striker", a fighter whose function is only to enter a match, attack the opponent and leave without replacing their teammates. In total, there are seven teams, each containing four characters, four Team Edit characters and a boss.

An new game based on Zoids Wild announced for the Nintendo Switch. A new anime series called Zoids Wild was announced with a toy line arriving first as well as a manga, a phone app and the Switch game.

Avatar Dairansen is an arena style fighting game. Players choose the fighting style of their avatar with choices that include a kung-fu, ninja, samurai, and zombie style. Each style comes with a low and high projectile move and each character also has a dash and jump move, however performing a move will drain some energy that the move costs to do so the player can't constantly do the same move over and over until the move meter refills. The game also has destructible environments where the player can knock their opponent into a building. Players can also design their own arenas to do battle in.
