Tetris: The Absolute - The Grand Master 2

An updated version of Tetris The Absolute The Grand Master 2 released shortly after the original, which adds the TGM+ and T.A. Death modes, and also increases Master mode's GM requirements.

Arcade Archives: Tetris The Grand Master is a puzzle game released by Arika in 1998. Test yourself against players around the globe! This version features a rank certification system that analyzes your speed, accuracy, and technique to rank players into 19 skill levels!

This game was released in 2005. The game now runs on PC-based hardware, specifically the Taito Type X. The level system has been expanded in many forms with increasingly stricter requirements to reach the Grand Master rank. Modes include Easy, Sakura (a puzzle mode also seen in Tetris With Cardcaptor Sakura: Eternal Heart), the traditional Master mode, and Shirase (an extension of T.A. Death with even harsher speed, garbage, and levels beyond 999). It also features World and Classic Rules, the former added by Arika due to The Tetris Company's recent policy changes.

Tetris E60 is web game released to promote the movie Tetris. It emulates the look of the original Tetris prototype for the Electronika 60 by Alexey Pajitnov.

The game's title is a parody of Super Street Fighter II Turbo (or Super Street Fighter II X in Japan), as there are no other Puzzle Fighter games, and the game includes music and interface elements spoofing the Street Fighter Alpha and Darkstalkers games. It was a response to SEGA's popular Puyo Puyo 2 that has been sweeping Japanese arcade. A HD-remake version titled Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo HD Remix, is available for purchase on Microsoft's Xbox Live Arcade and Sony's PlayStation Network.

The original version of Tetris was created by Alexey Pajitnov for the Elektronika-60 computer. It was never released commercially. It was also playable on the successor DVK-1 and DVK-2 computers, although it is unknown whether that is a different version, or simply the same code running on a different computer. Minor visual differences are present, but the gameplay is the exact same.
