Its gameplay consists of diverse combat, exploration and puzzles.

Sudden Strike is a World War II real-time tactics game released by CDV Software and developed by Fireglow. Players command Soviet, German, or Allied forces in combat scenarios that emphasize tactical decision-making over resource management and base building. The game features realistic military physics where terrain, buildings, and environmental factors affect unit performance and combat outcomes. Units can take cover in buildings, conduct reconnaissance, and require repairs when damaged. The expansion pack, Sudden Strike Forever, adds historically authentic units like the 1944 T-34 tank, new desert and snow environments, plus additional campaigns focused on specific military operations. The game includes multiple scenarios across various theaters of war, with players managing combined arms forces of infantry, tanks, and artillery while adapting to battlefield conditions and limited resources.

Terrorist Takedown 3 is the third installment of a series of action games by the Polish CITY Interactive studio. The player takes on the role of a member of an anti-terrorist unit, which is sent to Somalia in order to rebound a ship kidnapped off the coast there.

Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond is an upcoming first-person shooter developed by Respawn Entertainment. The game takes place in Europe during World War II, with the main protagonist being an OSS agent and fighter in the French Resistance. It will be released exclusively on the Oculus Rift.

Cannon Fodder is an action-strategy shoot 'em up game developed by Sensible Software and published by Virgin Interactive. The game is military-themed and based on shooting action but with a strategy game-style control system. The player directs troops through numerous missions, battling enemy infantry, vehicles and installations. Cannon Fodder has a darkly humorous tone which commentators variously praised and condemned. Its creators intended it to convey an anti-war message, which some reviewers recognised, but the Daily Star and a number of public figures derided the game. In other respects, reviewers highly praised the game, which widely achieved scores of over 90% in Amiga magazines. Amiga Action awarded it an unprecedented score, calling it the best game of the year.

When Freddy leaves the lunar base on a deep-space mission, the central computer system is hijacked by the newly installed high-tech computer assistant: L.ogarithmic O.nline LAN-compatible Z.ero-error H.ydraulic A.uxiliary X.ylophone(?), otherwise known as L.O.L.Z.H.A.X. LolzHax has brainwashed the other resident space warriors, Bonnie, Chica, Foxy, and that weird gangly space puppet, and has locked Freddy's son outside the station with limited air remaining. Can Freddy rescue his friends, defeat LolzHax, and save his son in time? This game was originally designed for the December 3rd, 2019 fundraiser for St. Jude hosted by Game Theory.
