The Sims Pet Stories is the second game in game series called The Sims Stories. Train, play, and care for your cats and dogs, and count on many unexpected twists and turns in this easy-to-play, laptop-friendly version of The Sims. The Sims Pet Stories features two great ways to play. In the new and engaging directed Story mode, you take on a variety of challenges as you compete for 1st place in a local pet show and learn to tame a variety of pet personalities. You even unlock rewards along the way as you achieve set goals. In open-ended Classic mode, you create your Sims and their pets, design their homes, and teach your pets tricks. The Sims Online was the first massively multiplayer online variation on Maxis's highly popular computer game The Sims, the second being the Online Weekend mode for The Sims Bustin' Out, and third being The Sims Social. The game was sold in retail stores in North America and Japan and could also be downloaded worldwide through the EA.com online store, though the game was English-only and had no official translations.
The Sims Bustin' Out is the second title in The Sims console series and the first The Sims title to not be released on PC. It featured the same 3D environment and engine the past game did, however adds several features from The Sims expansion packs: The Sims: Hot Date, The Sims: Superstar, and The Sims: Livin' Large. Bustin' Out was released for the Game Boy Advance, GameCube, PlayStation 2, Xbox and N-Gage in the fourth quarter of 2003. As the title suggests, the Sims can get out of the house to visit other locations such as Shiny Things Lab or Casa Caliente. There are two modes. Bust Out Mode which has mission based gameplay and Freeplay Mode which is open-ended gameplay very much like the original The Sims PC game.
Minami Lane is a small-scale management game where players build and manage a Japanese-inspired street. Serving to launch a new series of videogames in the Sims franchise, SimAnimals features many elements of the classic Sims experience, adapted to the Wii motion controls and featuring forest animals instead of human beings. Over 30 species of animals are available in such settings as swamps, forests, junkyards, orchards and rivers. As in previous Sims games, the goal is to keep the locals happy. By meeting the needs of the animals and achieving a predetermined ‘happiness’ level, new areas of the world are unlocked. The game provides the player with quests that either improve the general living conditions or meet the happiness needs of particular animals. Multiplayer comes in the form of up to four-player simultaneous interaction via four Wii remotes, with the potential for either cooperative play with positive outcomes or conflicting goals and unpredictable results.
Gardenscapes is a casual puzzle game developed by Playrix where players embark on a journey to restore and beautify a neglected garden. The protagonist, Austin the butler, inherits a sprawling but dilapidated garden and mansion and enlists the player's help to renovate it to its former glory. The gameplay primarily revolves around completing match-3 puzzle levels to earn stars, which are then used to progress in the garden renovation process and unlock new areas to restore.
