Lost in Blue lets you follow a girl and a boy who are stranded on a seemingly uninhabited island. While planning their escape, the two learn survival skills, such as hunting, gathering food, and building tools. You can play the game first as the boy, and then play as the girl for a completely different experience. To survive in this adventure, you'll need to learn how to share responsibilities with your partner.

After a global revolution dealt a final death blow to the world's crumbling industries, researchers and activists were left to pick up the pieces of their planet's ruined ecosystems. Their solution was simple: they turned themselves into pollution-eating mutants. Now, over half a century later, the rivers are blue again and the birds have learned new songs. Lost in Blue 3 marks the return of the original survival adventure game for Nintendo DS. Guide on of four playable characters, each with their own hidden past and unique strengths, through exotic locales on a mysterious island while surviving the elements to stay alive. Work alone or cooperatively with other characters to gather food, explore the island, and hunt dangerous wildlife.

The story follows Fiona Belli, a young girl who the player must guide through Belli Castle and its immediate environments in an effort to escape. Along the way, players must solve puzzles, unlock doors and evade, hide or attempt to fight against the castle's inhabitants. Fiona is accompanied by Hewie, a White Shepherd and the two must work as a team to solve certain puzzles and outwit their pursuers.
