In Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, players engage in combat with teams of two characters - owned by Capcom or Tatsunoko Production - and attempt to knock out their opponents. The game is set in a 2.5D environment; characters fight in a two-dimensional arena, but character models and backgrounds are rendered in three-dimensional graphics.

It is the 7th Capcom-designed installment in their Vs. fighting game series, which includes the Marvel vs. Capcom and Capcom vs. SNK series, and the first to be fully rendered in 3D graphics. The game is designed around a simplified three-button attack system, which was inspired by the simplistic control schemes commonly used by both the Vs. series and the Wii. This is an expanded port of the original Arcade game (that use Wii-based hardware) of the same name and was released only in Japan 2 years prior to the international updated version "Ultimate All-Stars". This port adds some new characters, including Viewtiful Joe.

Tekkaman Blade is a 2D side-scrolling platform game where the player controls a mech and must find the exit to each level. The mech only has one melee weapon, but it can also use a special grappling hook, like in Ninja Gaiden Shadow, which is necessary to go through the levels. After the platforming part of the levels, the mech fights against a boss.

SD Kidou Senshi Gundam 2 is a shoot 'em up game featuring characters from the Gundam universe in a super deformed format. It is the sequel to the Super Famicom game SD Kidou Senshi Gundam: V Sakusen Shidou. The player can select between three SD Gundam characters to play as, including the previous game's Knight Gundam. The game also has both co-operative and competitive two-player modes.

Choujikuu Yousai Macross: Scrambled Valkyrie is a 2D side-scrolling science fiction shooter. Aside from Hikaru, the player can also choose to play as Max or Milia. Each character has different types of power, range and weapon effect per VF-1 mode (Fighter, Gerwalk and Battroid). Power-ups obtained will increase weapon range and potency for up to three levels each.

The Japanese animation "Armored Trooper Votoms", released in 1983, was the brainchild of N.Shioyama (Ronin Warriors) and R. Takahashi (Gasaraki). Together they created one of the most beloved (in Japan) shows in the history of Japanese Animation. The series was later released (1996) in the US by Central Park Media. The series spanned 19 videocassettes, and quickly developed a small, but devoted fan following. Its 80's style animation turned off a lot of would-be fans, but those willing to endure the animation were rewarded with one of the best storylines (and also some really cool mecha designs) available in the genre. The series was so popular in Japan that games, toys, and models are to this day being made. "Armored Trooper Votoms: The Battling Road" is, the first Votoms game created, and is an incredible game. Utilizing the DSP chip (A chip implemented into no more than 15 Super Nintendo/Famicom cartridges) to create a Pseudo-3D environment, this game looks absolutely wonderful for its time.
