Unnecessary Roughness '96

Unnecessary Roughness '96 is the 1996's incarnation of Accolade's series of American football games. Updates in this version attempt to correct the "arcadish" feel the previous had with a much bigger emphasis on team management and coaching. You can buy entire teams, make any trades, set salary caps, manage rosters and injuries, etc. The statistical side of the game is spruced up, with more realistic scores, and an additional play-designer added to the editable features, which allows you to store up to 1,300 plays, to which you can even add audible calls. On the gameplay side of things new features include an automatic pass reception which allows you to basically concentrate on using the quarterback. Also available is two player cooperative or vs gameplay modes, and new, clearer graphics, animations and sounds.

UR95 is your average football game featuring both single plays against the computer or a friend, and full-fledged seasons, including playoffs and Super Bowls. The main attraction to the game however is a "Construction Set" option which allows you to create everything for your own team, to your playbook and tournaments. You can even do your own team's logo and import/export your creations to trade with your friends.

Real Soccer 2008 is the fifth entry in Gameloft's annual series of mobile football games. The gameplay in this edition is mostly identical to the previous iteration. It is played from an isometric birds eye view and has the same controls with the same moves being possible to do. This includes performing lobs, flip-flap tricks and one-two passing. Like before the game has a FIFPRO licence which means that it features real life players but it does not have any real team or competition names. In addition to the common friendlies, cups and leagues the game adds two new game modes. There is the Road to 2008 which involves qualifying for and competing in the Euro 2008 and there is a challenge mode where the player has to complete objectives. For example, the first challenge is the World Cup 2006 final and the player takes control of France after Zinedine Zidane is sent off with the objective of winning the final.
