Zen-Nippon Pro Wrestling

An updated version of Zen Nihon Pro Wrestling, Dash updates the character roster and adds minor cosmetic touches to the mix such as wrestler introductions and new character artwork. The biggest addition however is the inclusion of a 4-player royal rumble mode and the ability to perform team-up moves in the tag matches. The game casts you as a wrestler of your choice in the official Zen Nihon Pro Wrestling league and pits you against the other featured wrestlers in grappling matches. As in the original you get to pick between several game modes including: Tournament, Championship (single or tag) Vs, Team (with the new 4-player variant) and Training.

This game is the finale of the All Japan Pro Wrestling series for Super Famicom. It all started 1993 with the smooth but simple Zen Nihon Pro Wrestling. Then the updated version "Dash" was released with new performers, tag team wrestling moves, and the 4 way elimination match. 'Budoukan has the same basic look as the first 2 but everything has been re-drawn. The roster is bigger with 19 wrestlers! And the gameplay is deeper with more moves and a submission system. The music which was excellent in the previous games has been improved further. This is real wrestling, it's All Japan Pro Wrestling!

Unlike the other games in the series, Fight da Pon is a comedic/parodic take on the circuit, and features various AJPW wrestlers in a super deformed chibi style that exaggerates their personalities. The game features multiple modes, but the core battle system requires using cards at opportune moments. Each card depicts a type of wrestling move, such as a suplex or clothesline, and the player can use them to counter and overpower their opponent. The fifth wrestling game developed by AKI Corporation. Contained many improvements from previous titles that would be featured in AKI's final Nintendo 64 wrestling game WWF No Mercy. Some features, such as creating masks in edit mode and the MMA style grappling system, would not be carried over to WWF No Mercy. Virtual Pro Wrestling 2 carries the All Japan Pro Wrestling license, and features 21 wrestlers from their promotion. The rest of the characters included in the game are based on other real promotions and wrestlers, but due to copyright have fake names and appearances. This is common among other Japanese wrestling games. You can identify who the other wrestler's are by their unique moves and taunts, and the edit mode contains each piece of ring attire you would need to recreate their actual likeness. In total, there are 98 wrestlers in the game, 23 of which have to be unlocked. There is also 16 original character slots you can use to edit and create your own wrestlers, bringing the potential total of wrestlers in the game to 114. This game has the largest roster of all of AKI's wrestling games. In comparison, WWF No Mercy would have 64 wrestlers available.

Zen-Nippon Pro Wrestling: Soul of Champions is a 3D Japanese wrestling game that features 25 wrestlers (including one hidden wrestler) from the All Japan Pro Wrestling promotion. There are seven modes of play available in the game: One Night Match, Champion Carnival, Real World Tag League, Battle Royal, Create Edit (Create-a-Wrestler), MVP Season Mode, and Defend Title (hidden mode).
