NBA Live 10 is the 2009 installment in the NBA Live series, developed by EA Canada and published by Electronic Arts. Dwight Howard of the Orlando Magic is the cover athlete. NBA Live 97 is a basketball game with an emphasis on realism. You can choose from all of the NBA teams, create a team with players you create yourself, or choose a team formed by the All-Star players of the east or West coasts. When you create a player yourself you can customize the player to a high degree. There are over 60 offensive and 10 defensive set-ups. Match options include an exhibition match, a whole season or the playoffs.

The 2003 version of the NBA simulator has improved graphics in relation to the previous installments and features like detailed faces and a player design engine. It also has rosters in accordance to the 2002-2003 Season. The game features more than 30 new rebound animations worked out by motion capture sessions, different passing styles and blocks and a frame rate of 60 frames per second. As usual, a complete fantasy draft is included and multiplayer support is present.

NBA Live 99 is EA Sports' NBA release for the 1998–99 NBA season. Some of the major additions in Live 99 include Practice Mode and multi-season play featuring player development between seasons. Although it did not feature free agency or generated rookies, it would turn out to be the forerunner to Franchise Mode. Live 99 shipped with 1997-98 season rosters due to the NBA lockout of 1998–99 putting a hold on player movements and rookie signings during the summer of 1998.

The cover features Vince Carter as a member of the Toronto Raptors and in Spain copies of NBA Live 2004, it features Raul Lopez. The game was developed by EA Sports and released in 2003. The game is similar graphically to NCAA March Madness 2004 and has the same create-a-player models.

The NBA Live series of basketball video games, published by EA Sports, is currently one of the leading National Basketball Association simulations on the market. Starting from NBA Live 2000, the series featured NBA Live Legend All-Stars Teams, that included some biggest names from five decades (50s to 90s). These teams could be used instantly, but to use the players as regular players (e.g. traded, played on regular NBA Teams) they needed to be unlocked. Along the series, some of the rosters were changed due to many reasons as Michael Jordan was on the 90's team through 2004.

This is the first NBA video game to include all three next-generation consoles. It was the last NBA Live game for the Windows platform.

NBA Live 09, sometimes called NBA Live 2009, is the 2008 installment in the NBA Live series, developed and published by Electronic Arts. The original release date was October 7, 2008. The game features Tony Parker of the San Antonio Spurs on the cover in most markets (this is Parker's second appearance on the cover; he also appeared on the French version of NBA Live 07). The Wii version of the game, developed by HB Studios, is titled NBA Live 09 All-Play and launched under EA Sports' new All-Play brand exclusive to the platform. This was the last NBA Live game released for the PlayStation 2.
