Return of Zion takes place in UC 0090, where Zeon remnants are taking part in a large-scale operation to consolidate their forces and retreat into space to join Char Aznable’s own nascent Neo-Zeon. The game focuses on a group of Haman’s Neo-Zeon in Africa called “Nightshade,” as they link up with other remnant groups and representatives of Char’s Neo-Zeon to ultimately return to space. Return of Zion’s character designs are handled by prolific Sunrise designer Toshihiro Kawamoto, and fits well into the aesthetic he established with his work on Gundam 0083. Playing up the anime style, each mission is actually bookended with an opening and ending sequence, and even a “Next Episode” card.

Mad Stalker is Fill-In Cafe’s first attempt at a beat-em-up. Designed and programmed by Masatoshi Imaizumi and Masaki Ukyo, its systems are loosely similar to the Asuka 120% Burning Fest series, whose first entry was released later in 1994. There are three main versions: the X68000 and FM Towns games, developed by Fill-In Cafe themselves (the X68000 version has the subtitle Full Metal Forth, which was corrected to Full Metal Force in the FM Towns and later entries); the PC Engine CD port developed by Kogado; and the PlayStation version, again by Fill-In Cafe, which is more of a complete remake than a port. A conversion for the Mega Drive was in development and previewed, however it did not receive an official release to the public until Columbus Circle published it in September 2020.

Set in late UC 0089, Advanced Operation occupies that elusive and underused timeline gap between the Gundam ZZ TV series and the film Char’s Counterattack. You follow the crew of the Pegasus Kai class ship Il Nido as they clash with a force of Neo-Zeon remnants commanded by a hawkish Haman Karn loyalist named Gerald Sinclair. Sinclair’s mission is to hunt down the representative of a moderate Neo-Zeon faction that seeks to make peace with the Federation: the late Karn’s own younger sister, Serrana Karn. The game features original character designs by Haruhiko Mikimoto of Macross and Gundam 0080 fame.

Community Pom is a 1997 action RPG/simulation game for the PlayStation, developed and published by Fill in Cafe (best known for the Asuka 120% and Kendo Rage/Makeruna! Makendou series). With gameplay reminiscent of classic 2D Zelda titles and perhaps most particularly influenced by Magic Knight Rayearth on the Sega Saturn, the game puts its own spin on things by throwing a simple pet raising simulation into the mix, with the player rearing Poms to increase their combat stats and unlock new features and abilities.

30 years after the first Versnag War, conflict again threatens to erupt between the Anchis Empire and the bordering kingdom of Zenarg. As they head towards the precipice, two adventurers—young stalwart Zalek and plucky veteran Kinissh—get caught in the chaos. They soon realize the war's scope extends far beyond the mortal coil, with rumors of a primordial dragon's return looming upon the realm. Elsewhere, Zalek's mentor Rommel asks his other disciple, Ron, to join the duo, while Princess Eve of the religious capital Romo learns about her true powers. It's up to them and others to thwart Anchis' new king and stop the dark one's revival. War-Torn Versnag is a heavily story-driven JRPG divided into chapters. You play Zalek and other party members as they wander between towns, dungeons, and other locations to do battle and advance the plot. Combat normally plays out automatically, but players can tweak characters' behaviors or manually control them as well. The game uses mouse-based controls, a rarity for X68000 exclusives; it released after much delay, late into the system's lifecycle.
