This is a complete hack of Super Mario World. Don't expect any new graphics here; this game is all about the level design. All the levels and worlds are new, and some of the worlds have themes not present in the original game, such as a water world and an ice world.
Two thwomps try to outsmash the other and inadvertently knock a bottle of subcon powder off of the shelves, breaking it on the ground. The powder opens a portal to Subcon. Out comes Wart and in goes Bowser and Bowser, in this new world, concocts a plan...
Super Demo World: The Legend Continues is a project put together with the goal of displaying the capabilities of the SMW Level Editor Lunar Magic. Super Demo World, was first released in 2001 as a few short levels to show off custom blocks which had varying requirements for when they could be broken such as the typical only when big breakable bricks or bricks that could only be broken with a fireball. Since then, the project has gone on to be a complete hack of SWM spanning across and heavily altering all of its levels. As this hack is designed with the explicit goal of showing off Lunar Magic, players will find a wide variety of challenges across Super Demo World‘s many meticulously crafted levels and will assuredly find themselves stretching out fiber of their SMW muscles along the way. Each on of the castles in this hack come with a quirky blurb at the end once you defeat the boss, many of them referring to bizarre or somewhat dark scenarios where the Koopa’s were experimenting on the eggs or simply hording them for buffets.
Rakugaki Mario is a love letter / pastiche / new(?!?!?!) romhack inspired by many hacks from the 2007-2009 era. What originally started as a semi in-joke between friends spiraled out into a much larger project, with a much larger author pool contributing levels (for better or worse). Making this hack semi-unique in nature is, in persuit of MAXIMUM AUTHENTICITY, all tools, sprites, blocks, and music (barring resources made specifically for the project) are from 2007-2009 too. That's right, we're talking Lunar Magic 1.63, JonWill's Blktool, MikeyK's Sprite Tool 1.22, and Romi's Addmusic 4.04. Of course, this wouldn't be playable on hardware by default. To comply with SMWC standards, only the fixed version is available below (in both Japanese and English). It contains the usual modern hack fixes (FastROM, QoL adjustments, Blktool Optimizer, ect), but that doesn't mean it's any less difficult! For SNESGT and ZSNES enthusiasts, you can also play the original unfixed (Japanese) version through this handy link right here. One may be quick to compare this to one of my previous hacking endeavors, but this is a very stylistically different hack that goes in a different direction. If you were a fan of that hack, you may not be particularly pleased that it isn't a continuation / sequel, but I did try to throw a bone in a level or two. Regardless, I still expect this hack to be very difficult. An Author List for individual levels can be found here. Be mindful of spoilers! Difficulty curve is practically nonexistent, and levels explore various design styles, so you'll never know what's next. Whilst tagged as a Kaizo hack, take solace in the knowledge that this is primarily a Standard: Very (Very) Hard hack. However, because certain levels are played in a style and way agreed upon today to be "Kaizo" (one hit kill, levels played in a strict way, and lots of trial and error), I felt it was a necessity to tag it as such for the unwitting moderator or player who wishes to tackle such a hack.

R-Ack (Pronounced "Are Ah-ck") is a "No Rules" collaboration similar to the Yumps and the VIPs where there is no level design standard. The title has a hidden meaning, referencing the abstract term "RomhACK" where anything goes so long as it's a romhack. Featuring 35+ levels that totals to 50 exits. Set aside your expectations, as this hack is anything but normal. Actually, inside the chaos could be something normal? Who knows. You control an entity known as "The Plumber" in search to find the good in the world of R-ACK. Your mission is to simply traverse the landscapes.
