Dragon Ball Z Sagas is a game that tells how the story of Dragon Ball Z began. You play as six heroes from the show such as Goku, Gohan, and Piccolo. Your mission is to recreate the elements of the Saiyan-Cell Games Sagas. Along the way you must face evil enemies, as well as collecting Z-Coins so you can upgrade some new abilities and moves and Capsules that can give you more fighting power and energy. At the end of some areas their will be a boss that you must defeat such as Raditz, Nappa, Captain Ginyu, Frieza and Cell. Single player mode features three difficulty levels easy, normal and hard. The game also has a Co-op mode where you can play in Sagas or Pendulum mode. You can select any chapter from the single player mode. The European "Collector's Edition" version of Budokai 3 was released in Fall 2005. Months before, the hype began to build that it would include not only the option to select the Japanese vocal track for the characters in the game, but that the Japanese version's extras would also be available for unlocking. The Platinum Version is identical to the Collector's Edition. The "Baba Crystal Ball Movies" are also available on this version after extensive game play. Several forums have posted the process needed to gain these capsules, which can be bought in the capsule store. However, the content of the movies are simply the original Japanese introduction to Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 2. One clip is the intro with vocal accompaniment while the second clip is the instrumental version of the intro

Based on the Dragon Ball Z series, Search Battle allows you to draw or use stamps to create a fighter to battle characters from the popular series. The game appears to generate battle stats for your drawing seemingly at random. Other design/manga carts can be mounted and used for additional stamps in addition to those included with this cartridge. The package also contains very simple animation and drawing programs that you can mess around with if you insert the cartridge by itself with no addons.
