Fate/Stay Night is a Japanese visual novel, which was originally released as an adult game. A version of Fate/Stay Night rated for ages 15 and up titled Fate/Stay Night Réalta Nua was released later. Fate/Stay Night'​s gameplay requires little interaction from the player as most of the game's duration is spent on reading the text that appears, representing either dialogue between the characters or the inner thoughts of the protagonist. Often, players will come to a "decision point" where they are given the chance to choose from options displayed on the screen, typically two to three at a time. There are three main plot lines that the player will have the chance to experience, one for each of the heroines in the story. To view all three plot lines, the player will have to replay the game multiple times and make different choices during the decision points to progress the plot in an alternate direction.

Battle Moon Wars is a PC-made series of Super deformed Tactical RPGs created by Dojin soft developer and publisher Werk in 2005. Its popularity in Japan has given rise to a number of Battle Moon Wars games. The series has a basic similarity to the Super Robot Wars series and its Super deformed looks, as well as taking its crossover concept. The game uses the crossover of Type-Moon's visual novel and anime series, including Tsukihime and Fate/stay night with several original characters made exclusive by Werk. Their involvement in the series are covered as Acts. The game is completely translated, with the story content and interface all translated to English. This story is about a young boy named Tohno Shiki who, after experiencing a traumatic accident, wakes up in the hospital with the ability to see lines and cracks in every surface and being. These lines, when traced with any sharp or blunt edge, will be permanently cut. As he is forced to see these lines everywhere, Shiki is distraught until he meets a mage girl who gives him glasses that allow him to live a normal life. Years later, after living in a relative's home, the death of his father has him summoned back to the mansion he left years ago. There he must learn to live with his younger sister and two maid girls. One day Shiki's life takes a turn for the worst when, on the way to school, he meets a blonde woman and he's overcome with the urge to kill her.

The Sega RingWide and Windows port of Melty Blood Actress Again, originally for the PS2, updated with new characters, a rebalanced roster and some gameplay tweaks. It is the last game in the original Melty Blood series which follows the events of Tsukihime. Melty Blood Actress Again Current Code is an anime fighter with a strong emphasis on movement and featuring Moon styles, giving each of the 31 characters in the roster three different movesets with differing system mechanics. The Arcade mode has the same story as Actress Again, with the addition of new stories for characters new to Current Code (Powered Ciel and Archetype-Earth), duo characters who were without one (Neco & Mech and Kohaku & Mech), and Riesbyfe Stridberg, who gained an unlockable alternative route.

As the last Master of humanity, the protagonist and their Servant, Mash Kyrielight, are sent back to seven distorted points in time called Singularities in order to retrieve the Holy Grails sustaining these anomalies and investigate why humanity is being targeted.
