The game simulates the Fairchild-Republic A-10A Thunderbolt II, a very powerful anti-tank aircraft developed for the US Air Force in the 1970s. There are 10 weapons, a lot of friendly and enemy aircraft, and ground vehicles available in the 24 flown missions.

This simulation puts you in the cockpit of the A-10 Thunderbolt II, which is also known as the "Warthog". As the game's name implies, it is used mainly to weaken enemy tanks, but also for destroying roads and bridges. You are armed with Avenger 30mm cannons which can fire around 70 times a second. Multiple camera angles are featured. Landing is automated and an accelerated time function is on offer. Characters have full AI to act without your involvement, and will communicate with you in-flight. Actions in one mission affect another - something you failed to destroy in one mission can attack you later.

AeroWings is a simulation that allows the player to fly as a member of a jet aerobatics team. The game contains a variety of jet-powered aircraft that the player can fly in several game modes. • Blue Impulse Mission: Learn 20 aerobatic maneuvers and become a member of the elite Blue Impulse team. Learn loops, rolls, and more while flying both solo and in formation. • Sky Mission Attack: Fly through a series of targets suspended in mid-air before time runs out. • Free Flight: Fly around and freely explore the landscape. • Multi Play: Up to 4 players can perform in formation simultaneously.

The game offers aircraft configuration options, pilot selection, and a unique feature allowing players to call in sick to skip missions—though excessive use may raise command suspicion. It features a realistic flight model with animations. The PC version focuses on flight operations, while the Amiga version includes strategic ground operation control alongside aerial support missions.

Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War is a first person air combat and flight simulator. Like other Ace Combat games, each mission is determined by a level briefing and objectives. There are 32 missions in the main campaign mode, while an additional "arcade" mode puts the player in the role of Mobius One (from Ace Combat 04: Shattered Skies) as he faces endless waves of enemy attacks. Regardless of the mode chosen, once in the air the player will have control over speed, direction, altitude, gun cannon, missiles and special weapon of their aircraft. Gunship 2000 is a helicopter simulation game. The game consists of a set of missions mostly search and destroy or survival style. The simulation engine is quite real and complex to understand but simulates almost all aspects of the war environment. Your main purpose is to destroy the primary and secondary targets. You are not rewarded for missing those objects, even if you manage to destroy everything else. The really successful pilots are rewarded for hitting the targets and getting back in less than thirty minutes.
