Aleste Gaiden is a vertical shoot 'em up video game developed by Compile in 1989. It was released onto MSX2 in Japan only. It was originally released as part of the Disc Station Special Vol. 4. As it's title implies, it is a spin-off which retells the story of the first game in a different setting.

Aleste Branch (アレスタブランチ) is an upcoming sequel for the Aleste series Aleste Branch features a gameplay similar to the earlier titles in the series but with various modern touches. The player can choose between three playable ships, each with its own weapons arsenal, with the game utilizing a vertically-oriented screen similar to Senjin Aleste. The ships are equipped with a standard, forward-firing gun which can upgraded and can equip different sub-weapons by picking up their corresponding icons. This time, the sub-weapons can be charged up by holding the shot button, unleashing a powerful attack which can be used only a limited number of times.

An STG by M2, the latest in the Aleste series, is focused on a team-gameplay style. Having the same lead programmer as Rolling Gunner, it carries over a lot of it's gameplay style and it's hyper system.

Aleste Collection is a compilation featuring the Sega Master System and Game Gear Aleste titles as well as a entirely new title, released in December 2020 for the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. The physical edition of the game includes a booklet with interviews and official art, while the limited premium edition also includes a 32 pages booklet with production notes and concepts and a exclusive Game Gear Micro set with all games in the compilation.

In Homura, you take control of a samurai in a fantasy take on Japan's Edo period, as the samurai flies through vertically scrolling shooting stages. You can make your samurai shoot, use a screen-clearing bomb and perform a slash with his sword. The slash move forms the core of Homura's gameplay, as by slashing enemy bullets, you can send them back at the enemy. Homura features multi-form bosses and four stages of play, with stages one through three branching off into multiple paths. The game is based on an arcade title.
