Azumanga Donjara Daiou

Azumanga Daioh Advance is a puzzle game released for the Gameboy Advance hand held system on April 25th, 2003. It was published and developed by King Records. Azumanga Daioh Advance was a Japan only release and was never planned to be sold over seas.

This is a version of the traditional Puzzle Bobble / Bust-A-Move originally made by Taito but featuring characters from the Manga and Anime series "Azumanga Daioh". It was released only in Japan.

The game is a combination of the popular comic Azumanga Daioh and table top game "Donjara". The tiles are ready to use in battle with patterns of the characters faces. See polygon rendered deformed characters portray the happy action.

Each team can have a maximum of 5 people. The red team always starts the game first. In order to reach the set target score, the narrator tries to explain the words before him to his teammates without using the forbidden words. While a team is telling, a person from the other team can check the banned words. The first team to reach the target score wins the game. It is easier to reach the target score as the red team is always the first narrator. Therefore, for the Blue team to win the game, it is sufficient to get 2 points less than the target score. To explain this with an example, if the game ends with 20 points, it is enough for the blue team to collect 18 points.
