After a great rebellion king Rhobar II lost control of the penal colony in Khorinis. From that point on, he had to negotiate with the convicts and all goods produced on the continent were sent to the colony in exchange for magical ore. This state of affairs was inconvenient for no one except the prisoners, who were unconcerned with the war, isolated from the rest of the world. One day, the king grew tired of the ever-increasing demands of the ore barons from the Old Camp, who demanded more and more while offering less and less valuable ore. Rhobar decided to send a detachment of guards to the valley. They were to descend into the colony under the cover of night and set up camp somewhere remote, preparing for a single task: recapturing the castle from Gomez. However, the mission was dragging on, and the King needed information on the detachment's progress and whether the task would be completed. Therefore, another person arrived beyond the barrier, a royal messenger, to learn what had happened to the detachment and deliver a report to the king. Equipped with a single copy of the teleportation scroll, he entered the colony. What will be his fate, and will he succeed in his mission? That remains to be seen.
