Centipede

Centipede is a vertically-oriented shoot 'em up arcade game produced by Atari, Inc. in 1980. The game was designed by Ed Logg along with Dona Bailey, one of the few female game programmers in the industry at this time. It was also the first arcade coin-operated game to have a significant female player base. The player defends against swarms of insects, completing a round after eliminating the centipede that winds down the playing field.

Centipede Chaos, the hit 80’s classic crawler game is back to take over arcades around the globe! Cosmetically this game has some incredible features that make it stand out from the crowd. The three LED-lit stools not only provide comfort for the players but are also very appealing in the game room. The huge 75-inch monitor brings the graphics to life and “Chaos” even closer. The oversized joysticks offer intuitive gameplay for all ages! Players must use the joystick and fire button to move their ship and blast down the creepy crawlies. Millipede 5200 was an unreleased version of Millipede which happens to be the most accurate version to that of the original arcade. Sadly was never released due to it's arcade version's poor performance. Originally slated to be releasing in March of 1984, however it can be assumed that not only did the poor performance in it's arcade versions caused it to never be released, but also due to the fact that the 5200 was a commercial flop due to it's lack of innovation in the technology it had built within it, along with it's awful controller, and lack of exclusives worth playing. Another factor most likely was due to Atari's reputation after the Video Game Crash of 1983. Millipede 5200 is tragic victim of Atari, being the most accurate emulation of the Arcade experience except with a more of the Home Console touch of quality worth experiencing. The game was later released as part of Atari compilations.

AirXonix is a modern 3-dimensional remake of the famous Xonix game. In the older Xonix you controlled a device, which moved over a field with several monster-balls wandering inside. The objective was to cut the balls away from as much spare field as possible. The rules of AirXonix are almost the same, except the device you control is flying in the air and everything is in full 3D! The stunning special effects are strengthened by 3D sound! New types of monsters and a slew of different bonuses all displayed in full 3D bring the old game to an entirely new level. Angry Birds Hatchery Island is a cancelled game based on the Angry Birds series. The game featured a new mode called Hatchery, alongside the ability to make custom birds. An early prototype build of the game was leaked on December 17th, 2023 during the TestFlight teraleaks.

Xonix is a classic arcade-style DOS game which was probably inspired by Qix. In the game, the player controls a small marker that moves on a rectangular playfield. The goal is to claim a certain percentage of the playfield by drawing lines with the marker around areas that have not been claimed yet. The player must avoid collisions with balls bouncing around the playfield to avoid losing a life.

This is an old game of mine that I felt like sharing here. Problems may occur while playing it, so apologies up front. Original release date was back in 2010. Lord Gavin, a dark master with a once terrifying power to alter reality as he saw fit, sot to rewrite the physical world in his image, leaving those helpless to beg under his will. Thought time, he was cast into eternal imprisonment within the virtual world by heros chosen by fate and chance. There he would reside and spare the world from his dark intent. With the knowledge of him gone from the passing of time, Lord Gavin once agai became unbound from his virtual domain and was free to unleash his wrath into our world. With humanity staring Virtual Armageddon in the eyes, another chosen hero stood to face against this evil and drive it out of our world. That hero was known as "The Angry Video Game Nerd".
