Clock Tower

The Super Famicom classic, Clock Tower, is getting remastered for modern consoles. This remaster is a collaboration effort between Capcom, Sunsoft, WayForward, and Limited Run. This remaster also marks the first time the original Clock Tower game will see an official release outside of Japan, which up until this point only had fan translations. The remastered version will utilize the Carbon Engine. Clock Tower is a survival horror point-and-click adventure game developed and published by Human Entertainment for the Super Famicom in 1995. It is the first installment of the long-running Clock Tower series. The story follows Jennifer Simpson as she learns the secrets of the Barrows Mansion and attempts to escape the game's antagonist, Scissorman. Clock Tower originally released in 1995 and is not to be confused with the PlayStation 1 game Clock Tower released in 1996. The franchise only spawned four games, with the most recent release, Clock Tower 3, launching on the PlayStation 2.

Clock Tower 3 is a survival horror video game co-developed by Capcom and Sunsoft for the PlayStation 2. Released in 2002, it is the fourth installment in the Clock Tower series, and the first and only video game directed by Japanese film director Kinji Fukasaku. The plot and characters have very little relation with the previous Clock Tower games. The story follows 14-year-old Alyssa Hamilton who is part of a family lineage of female warriors who travel through time to defeat evil spirits. Alyssa travels from her time in 2003 London to the 1940s and 1960s in order to defeat these "Entities" and bring peace to troubled souls.

Jennifer and her friends are adopted by a nice lady named Mary one day. They expect to be going to a wonderful new home, at the Barrows Mansion. There they will live with Mary and Mr. Barrows. Unfortunately, something goes terribly wrong and Jennifer's friends are showing up dead one by one. While this is happening, Mary is missing and Jennifer ends up being chased by a crazed psychopath known only as...Scissorman. Now she must survive and get out of the mansion in this point-and-click horror adventure... Being a teenage girl, you have no special abilities at all, just your wits and your will to survive, there are a few enemies that can kill you instantly, but Scissorman is the true horror that will give you trouble.

Mega Man X, known as Rockman X in Japan, is the first game of the Mega Man X series. It was the first spin-off of the classic Mega Man series and made its debut on the Super Famicom/SNES, initially released in 1993. It was ported to the PC in 1995, and to Android and iOS devices in 2011. It was re-released as part of Mega Man X Collection in January 2006, then later re-released in Mega Man X Legacy Collection in July 2018. The game takes place in the year 21XX (early 22nd century), a century after the conclusion of the classic Mega Man series, and stars a new main character named X.

Alcahest is an action role-playing game with a top-down perspective that plays similar to The Legend of Zelda. It is divided into 8 stages that are progressed by finding items that aid the protagonist Alen on his quest, and end with a boss battle. After specific boss fights, the player will gain the abilities of one of the four elemental Guardians. Alen will also find five allies that will join him at predetermined points of some levels. They are the young wizard Garstein, the princess Elikshil, the knight Sirius, the android Magna and the shape-shifter dragon goddess Nevis. Though they cannot be controlled directly, allies will attack and use special moves when the corresponding button is pressed.

FINAL FANTASY IV is the fourth main installment in the FINAL FANTASY series, developed and published by Squaresoft. It was released in July 1991 for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in Japan, and released as FINAL FANTASY II in North America in October 1991 with alterations made due to Nintendo of America's guidelines at the time.

This is the third game featuring Firebrand from the Gargoyle's Quest series. It is side a scrolling platformer.

Third title in the Ganbare Goemon series of platform/adventure games which cast you as the heroic Goemon as he attempts to save feudal Japan from all sorts of wacky evildoers. This time around, a time-travelling machine threatens all of Japan and thus Goemon and co. must jump into the future to stop the machine. The game alternates between a top-down world map view in which your characters explore the gameworld and side-scrolling stages in which the main action lies. As in most games of the series there are also loads of mini-games and unique gameplay sequences such as maneuvering Goemon's giant mecha. The game continues the tradition of bizarre humor unique to the series, you can play as either Goemon or any of his 3 companions, Ebisumaru, Sasuke or Yae with each sporting unique weapons and abilities and also with their own dialogue options and cutscenes, which feature sitcom-like pre-recorded laughs for added wackiness.

As you may have guessed from the number 2 in the title, this is the second SNES game in the popular blend of the adventure and jump and run genres which is the Goemon series. Again, you (and your partner, in 2 player mode) control Goemon, his friend Ebisu-Maru and, new to the bunch, robot Sasuke, through loads of action stages and villages. Another new feature comes with 3D boss fights, featuring the giant mech type robot called "Goemon Impact".

Final Fantasy III is the third FF game for the Famicom. The turn-based battle engine has been improved: if the enemy is defeated, the next character will automatically switch to another enemy, and not hit the air, like in the previous two games. The game itself is, like the previous games, a top-down RPG where your characters travel in the overworld, sometimes entering cities and dungeons to buy equipment, rest and fight random encounters and bosses with turn-based combat. Final Fantasy III also introduces various series staples, such as the Job system and the Moogle species.

Laplace´s Demon is a Sweet Home-like RPG and it takes place in a suburb of Boston in 1924. You can pick from one of six or so classes at the start of the game (Detective, Journalist, Psychic, etc) and you can recruit other members, and it plays a lot like a normal RPG. It also seems to be one of the first games to pioneer a limit-break like system, which is now in use in a lot of games.

Akumajou Densetsu is the Japanese version of Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse. This version has many differences in gameplay and level layout, making the overall experience easier than its western counterpart.
