Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria is the second installment of the Valkyrie Profile series. Taking place hundreds of years before the original game, the story revolves around two characters living the same body, named Silmeria and Alicia. Together, the two characters work to stop a catastrophe that could cause war between the people and the gods. The game received generally positive reviews, citing its similarity to the original Valkyrie Profile game and its beautiful graphics, but had a convoluted interface and a high degree of difficulty. The game went on to be re-released as a Square Enix "Ultimate Release".

7th Dragon 2020 is a Japanese role-playing game and a spin-off sequel to the original 7th Dragon. It changes the setting from 7th Dragon's generic fantasy world to post-apocalyptic Tokyo, and ditches the 2D sprites for an entirely 3D graphics. Despite the change in setting, the basic story is largely identical - the world has been invaded by dragons, bringing with them a brand of poisonous flowers. 7th Dragon is a Japanese role-playing video game and the first game in the 7th Dragon series. 7th Dragon takes place in the world of Eden of which 80% is ruled by dragons, so the premise of the game is simple: Kill all the dragons, or the human race is going to be wiped out of existence. When players start their journey, they can create their own characters from the following classes: Mage, Princess, Rogue, Knight, Samurai, Fighter, or Healer. Outside of battle the characters will be viewed traveling the overworld from an overhead perspective, while the battles are viewed from a side perspective showing each character as they attack their foes.
