After the success of Star Fox, Nintendo decided to make a sequel on the same system. However, with the release of the Nintendo 64 looming close, Nintendo decided to cancel the game despite it being nearly complete. Many features of this game were later reused in Star Fox 64, most notably Star Wolf, and the game itself was later leaked as source code and compiled into a working ROM. The game was later released for the SNES Classic console as an unlockable game, marking its first official release. Since then, the game was also released for the Nintendo Switch Online service.

Fox, Falco, Peppy and Slippy save the Lylat system in this new deep space dogfighting adventure. Using the Wii U GamePad controller and the TV together creates a unique interface that allows players to experience the game with two different viewpoints within the Arwing – aim and shoot enemies in one direction while flying in another. This frees up the TV for a more cinematic flight experience. Then, pilot the Arwing with its new Walker transformation, along with the new Gyrowing and the Landmaster Tank, to traverse interplanetary terrain.

Star Fox Guard is a tower defense video game co-developed by Nintendo and PlatinumGames for the Wii U. The game was bundled as a separate disc for the first print edition of Star Fox Zero during its release in April 2016, and as a digital download code on the Wii U eShop afterwards.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is a crossover fighting game for the Nintendo Switch and the fifth main entry in the series. Adventure Island II is a side-scrolling platform game developed by Now Production and published by Hudson Soft that was released for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1991. It is the sequel to Adventure Island and the second game in the series for the NES. Sabreman Stampede is the second stage of development of Donkey Kong Racing. The game evolved from being a Donkey Kong game to being part of the Sabreman series by Rare, due to the company being bought by Microsoft. The game was being developed to be released for the XBOX 360, but ended up being cancelled.

In development by Bits Studios, RiQa was shown at E3 1999 and appeared to be heavily inspired by PlayStation title, Tomb Raider. It was a third-person perspective action and exploration game starring a female protagonist. The game was only shown once, and then was delayed several times before being dropped, with very few details provided. However, it is believed that Bits Studios later used elements from RiQa in its multiformat 2003 title Rogue Ops. Some prototype builds were dumped and released onto the internet on April 2024.
