Escape Velocity: Override

Escape Velocity Nova (a.k.a. EV Nova or EVN) is a video game by Ambrosia Software, in collaboration with ATMOS. It is the third game in the Escape Velocity series of space trading & combat games.

2nd version of Escape Velocity. This is a sandbox game where players start with a small ship and limited capabilities. Players can get missions, buy and sell goods, or become a pirate.

We take the colony sim genre into the near future, onto a lush planet where humans are making their first foothold. Understanding the alien environment is crucial - discovered resources and crafting options enable you to adapt when food gets scarce, equipment breaks and alien animals attack.

Can anyone build an empire in a place like this? Other factions are naturally suspicious of newcomers and may wage war at the first sign of unidentified craft. Here, a natural death is an uncommon luxury.

Trade Wars 2002 is a classic BBS door game that has been actively played since the late 1980s. The player controls a spaceship in a Star Trek-inspired universe, trading resources at a profit to build up a space empire of planets and space stations. It was later adapted to play over the internet and external tools were built to automate repetitive tasks. The game is still playable on many web BBSes today.
