Rescue the sickly life of a dingle whilst surviving high octane shoot ‘em up arcade action. Chauffeur the visibly distraught alien’s ailing pet through a wormhole shortcut colloquially known as “the 13th dimension”. Test your mettle, wits, and lightning trigger reflexes against various and sundry subconscious projections. It is a race against time! Save the dingle!
The Rudy is a heavily modified Class C GunTneR ax1147 short-range fighter adapted for interdimensional travel. Commonly ridiculed for its forward-swept wing design and jetsonian bubble cockpit, not one soul denies its pivotal role in the Battle of Yandori-11 that ultimately stopped the seemingly inevitable Interstellar Desegmentation. Fueled by dark matter amulite, the turbo encabulator propulsion and displacement system feeds surplus energy to the shield capacitor while still providing perfectly cromulent thrust. In a questionable choice of engineering, a valve between said capacitor and the quark cannon was installed. Opening of said valve results in unpredictable, rapid fire that quickly drains the shield system. Lack of operating shields results in absolute cabin depressurization and death. Also featured are a corduroy-lined dashboard and a cargo bay of extradimensional space accessible through a trunk sized hatch located on the underbelly. The intrepid Rudy has been rigorously tested, performing courier missions across the galaxy, surviving pirates, mercenaries, and ne’er do wells throughout hostile space for the past 0.237 Terran life cycles. By slim chance or providence, you found yourself emotionally entangled by egregious eyestalks. Mesmerized, you agree to chauffeur a sickly pet dingle through the 13th dimension without pay “The 13th Dimension” was first coined by Ensign 6th Class Harold Bonderson while accidentally aboard the bridge of the Kutonkan Flag Ship, Dianonsodary, during a military retreat. “Is anything in this wormhole real? It’s like we’re collectively facing each other’s worst fears through a nightmare of the thirteenth dimension!”

Warblade is a shareware computer game for Microsoft Windows and OS X, written by Norwegian developer Edgar M. Vigdal. The Windows version runs well on Linux under Wine. It is also available for retail in the App Store for iOS devices (in iPhone/iPod Touch and iPad versions). The game is a 2D space shooter in the vein of the perennial classic Galaga. It is a rewrite and modernization of a popular Amiga shareware game, Deluxe Galaga, which was written by the same author back in the mid-1990s. Where technically possible, the graphics and sounds are respectful to their Amiga origins.

Under Defeat is a shoot 'em up arcade game by G.rev. It was released for the Sega Dreamcast in March 2006. The game takes place in an alternate reality based on World War II, and, in a controversial twist, players control German-speaking characters (under the banner of "the Empire"), fighting against enemies ("the Union") that speak English and possess weapons patterned after those of both real-life Allied and Axis powers (for example, naval units in Level 2 bear heavy resemblance toward the Imperial Japanese warships). The game was released very late in the life of the Dreamcast, but sold much better than expected, probably because there were no other home ports planned in the foreseeable future. Players assume control of a helicopter, which can be rotated like a more limited version of the mechanism in Zero Gunner 2. Gameplay is largely very traditional, and bears a strong resemblance to some older Toaplan games, especially Twin Cobra. It uses 3D graphics, and a slightly angled perspective to give the game more depth than most other titles in the genre. On October 27, 2011, G.rev announced a remake titled Under Defeat HD to be released for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.[1] The game is released by Rising Star Games on February 23, 2012 in Japan, November 9, 2012 in the UK and set to be released on November 28, 2012 in North America for PlayStation 3 only and January 25, 2013 in Europe. The Xbox 360 version for North America was released on August 26, 2014 as a downloadable game-only under Games on Demand. An upgraded version of Under Defeat HD (PS3, Xbox 360) was made on Sega Ring Edge 2 arcade System, named Under Defeat HD+. Now that version is coming to arcades with some improvements via Sega’s ALL.NET. Among the enhancements this will have is a horizontal orientation mode, more detail in the battlefield and a “New Order” mode where apparently you can choose from different types of aircraft.

Moon Patrol is a side-scrolling shooter that puts players at the controls of a six-wheeled moon rover that can jump and shoot. The goal is to move through the entire course as quickly as possible while shooting enemies for additional points. Cannons are mounted on the front and top of the vehicle, and both fire simultaneously when the fire button is pressed. Rocks, mines, and pits in the course prevent you from just holding to the right for maximum speed. Rocks and mines can be shot, but pits must be jumped. Some enemies fire shots that create new pits in the course, forcing players to react quickly.

Blazing Star is a scrolling shooter video game for the Neo Geo home game system. It is the sequel to the acclaimed Neo Geo shooter Pulstar, which was itself a close cousin to the R-Type franchise. A typically hefty Neo Geo ROM at 346 Mb, the game makes extensive use of pseudo-3D prerendered sprites, brief anime and CGI cutscenes (mostly during the intro sequence), and frequent Engrish voice samples and captions. While Blazing Star was superior in many respects to previous shooter games, some fans compare it unfavorably with Pulstar on the basis that Blazing Star was overly easy and there are those that prefer the simpler 2D sprite look over the prerendered sprites that came to dominate many of the more recent shoot-em-ups.
