In this time-management game, you play Sara, a worker at a greenhouse. Unfortunately, the greenhouse is failing, and the owner is going to sell to a developer in eight weeks. Sara's only chance of saving the nursery is to take over a vacant three acres and turn it into a productive farm. Each week consists of five missions (where you need to harvest certain amounts of each crop) taking place on Monday through Friday, plus a Saturday farmer's market, where each item you sell gives bonus cash. Some items take more time than others to grow, and other items, such as milk, require you to take crops and process them in some way. (For example, taking clover to a cow to get milk in return, or turning tomatoes into ketchup.)

Enjoy being a farmer between 1950 and 1970 in the Agricultural Simulator – Historical Farming. The game takes you to the good old days and you will experience the charming farming of the 60's and 70's. Fans of nostalgia and history will be glad to work with original designed machines and to till a field with well known Old-timer Tractors. With the new feature – the dynamic ground Agrar Simulator – Historical Farming presents the first real furrows which will be left when working at the fields with strong machines. The furrows will have impact on the driving behavior of the tractors and guarantee pure realism. It is up to the player to decide in which region he would like to cultivate his farm. There are two amazing scenarios – idyllic highlands, valleys and woods in the alp-region or the fascinating Toscana region with measured climate.

SimFarm was developed by Maxis as a spinoff of SimCity, and allowed the player to simulate the running of a farm. It was released in 1993 for PC Dos, and was released a year later for Macintosh. It has become a classic, and began the subsequent development of the farm simulation subgenre, although Maxis did not make any sequel to the game in the way they have for SimCity.
