JAWS: Ultimate Predator on the Nintendo 3DS system puts you in control of the hulking terror of the seas like never before, letting you experience the action through the eyes of the beast in startling 3D. Developed by n-Space and produced by Microprose, the Nintendo 3DS version of JAWS: Ultimate Predator lets you defeat an army of shark hunters and rule the ocean by unleashing deadly attack combinations such as Feeding Frenzy and Corkscrew Shred while using the Touch Screen to bite, ram and dodge enemies.

In Jaws: Unleashed, the player assumes the role as the large shark Jaws. The shark first enters the island from the southern end and the player finds itself in a cove. The cove has tutorials to allow the player to become familiar with the controls, such as the ones for moving the shark and attacking other creatures. The shark has a menu for upgrades as well. These can be accessed from either the main menu or the pause menu. Upgrade points are earned by causing destruction around Amity Island (in levels and in free-roam mode), completing levels, and/or collecting bonus items, the most frequently found of which being treasure chests.

A monstrous great white shark is terrorizing the beaches of Amity Island. A grim discovery confirms the worst- he's out there and he's hungry. Unfortunately, en route, a fierce storm wrecks his boat, and the means of Jaws' destruction is scattered throughout the caves and chasms of a menacing sea world. In desperation, Mayor Vaughn turns to you, Police Chief Brodie. With your two colleagues; Hooper the shark expert, and Quint the manic shark hunter, you set off to retrieve the lethal weapons from the sea bed and kill the unwelcome intruder. Unfortunately, Jaws has other ideas.

Play as Tommy, Chuckie, Phil, Lil, and Angelica as you search every nook and cranny of the four major sets: "Diapies of Thunder," "Captain Cookies," "Lazy Saddles," and "Outside Space" each with its own expansive levels. Enter the Dressing Room to determine which set you'll start from, then choose the order you want to play the levels. There are 16 scenarios in all, including Pirate Mini-Golf, Buried Treasure, Western Roundup, and Loonie Lander. Once you complete all of the regular stages, you'll enter the Find Dil stages.
