Suikoden is a Japanese-style role-playing game with several unusual additions. There are three kinds of combat in the game, the most common one being the traditional turn-based party combat (players can have up to six people in their active party). Magic runes can be equipped on the player's characters which allow limited usage of offensive and healing spells. There are also a few army battles, where the player must control whole units of fighters, archers, magicians, etc., and one-on-one fights (duels).

The gameplay is about roll the dice and depending of the square that the player reach he can get items, treasures, earn or lose money. The player with more money at the end of the game wins. The game features 8 different characters to choose which one the player will use during the game. There are 7 different board to play in (like Atlantis, Pyramids, El Dorado, Babel, etc)

Kuroi Hitomi no Noah: Cielgris Fantasm plays mostly like traditional Japanese-style RPGs such as Breath of Fire: the protagonist travels on the map and interacts with various people, and in her travels, also encounters monsters that she must fight. The encounters are typical turn-based battles in which the player assigns actions to be performed by the party members. However, Noah has the ability to befriend monsters and can recruit them when they have been weakened. They can then be summoned in battle to fight alongside the party members. At the end of battle, the participating members and monsters gain experience points to increase their level.

Ryuki Densyo Dragoon is a classical rpg game based on a 1997 anime (released also in PC with a sequel for PC only) with 2d cartoon graphics in which the player controls a young man that will start a journey when he rescued a girl.
