This narrative-driven ensemble game stars Captain America Steve Rogers, Black Panther Azzuri (T'Challa's grandfather), U.S. soldier and member of the Howling Commandos Gabriel Jones, and leader of the fledgling Wakandan Spy Network, Nanali. All four characters will be playable at different parts of the story. According to Skydance, players can look forward to "intuitive controls and exhilarating second-to-second gameplay that captures the action and excitement of Marvel, inspired by landmark comics, television, and films, as they navigate this all-new glob-trotting adventure."

Marvel's Wolverine is a single-player action-adventure game and a standalone entry in the Marvel's Spider-Man series, sharing continuity with those titles while telling its own self-contained story. Players control Logan/Wolverine in close-quarters combat, using his adamantium claws against enemies drawn from the X-Men comic book mythology.

Developed by Demiurge Studios, "Marvel Puzzle Quest: Dark Reign" features team-based gameplay for the first time ever in the Puzzle Quest franchise. Players will assemble a team of three characters with upgradable abilities, choosing from a roster of heroes and villains alike, all to combat a common enemy. X-Men: Mojo World, a video game released in 1996 for the Game Gear system, features Wolverine and Rogue as the initial playable X-Men, with Gambit, Cyclops, Havok, and Shard unlockable later on. The game utilizes the same engine as its predecessor, X-Men: Gamesmaster's Legacy, and was also launched for the Master System in Brazil by Tec Toy. Set in a dystopian future, Mojo hosts a deadly TV show where participants engage in fights to the death. Having imprisoned certain X-Men from the past, Mojo aims to recreate their most epic battles. Wolverine and Rogue must enter the game, rescue their friends, and ultimately defeat Mojo to return home. Players start by choosing either Wolverine or Rogue. As each new level is conquered, additional X-Men become available, starting with Gambit, followed by Cyclops, Havok, and finally Shard. If any X-Men perish, the player must restart the level, selecting from the remaining characters. When all X-Men are defeated, the game concludes. Each character can activate their unique power at will. Wolverine employs his claws, Rogue can fly, Gambit hurls explosive cards, Cyclops unleashes optic blasts, Havok fires plasma blasts, and Shard utilizes energy blasts. Characters have both an energy meter and a power meter, depleting when they take hits or use their powers. Energy and power-restoring items can be found throughout the game. The gameplay primarily revolves around navigating through six levels, with each level culminating in a boss battle against well-known comic characters such as Magneto, Fitzroy, a Sentinel, and others.

Unlike most Final Fantasy games, Dissidia is more of a fighting game rather than a classic role playing game. It still keeps the complex story, character level-up and customization though. The game features main characters from the other Final Fantasy titles, two from each title (the protagonist and the antagonist). The plot revolves around the battle of the two gods, Cosmos and Chaos. The protagonists will form teams in order to fight through Chaos' armies and find their crystals which will later be used to destroy Chaos. Each character has his own campaign to go through at the end of which a crystal will be collected. The game also features a single fight and an arcade mode where the player will be able to choose his fighter and the opponent (opponents are automatically chosen by the game if playing in arcade mode though). All of the character's experience and skills received through the campaign are saved for the other game modes (and vice-versa, for example: if Cloud had a level equal to 12 when completing the campaign, he will also appear to have the same level when viewing him in the character roster in Arcade or Quick Battle mode). Another feature is that the items you find during the campaign belong to you, the player. That means you can move items from a character to another. The game also features extra content such as villains, costumes etc. which can be unlocked by using PP. You get such points from each fight and completed campaign.

You and your fellow X-Men are lost in an alternate reality, only to discover that supervillain Apocalypse reigns supreme. Not only do you find yourself at the mercy of his minions, but also the line between foe and friend is dangerously blurred in this mirror universe. Your only hope is to fight your way through numerous enemies and threats until you reach the Warp Gate and return home. Will you survive long enough to make it there? X-Men: Reign of Apocalypse is the first X-Men game released for the Game Boy Advance platform. It offers side-scrolling gameplay combined with fighting-game action. Best of all, you become your favorite X-Men character--Wolverine, Cyclops, Storm, or Rogue--and do battle using the character's signature moves. While in story mode, you'll battle Apocalypse's minions as you try to return to your own dimension. In versus mode, you can compete head-to-head in a deathmatch or join forces to battle enemy hordes, unlock X-Men friends, and capture the flag. Reign of Apocalypse's fighting system lets you score experience points using your brute strength and special mutant powers. At the end of each level, you can use these points to increase your damage potential, agility, or mutant power to unleash the ultimate X-Man!

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is an open-world third-person action-adventure game set in a version of Manhattan. Players control Spider-Man, web-swinging and wall-crawling across the city while completing story missions and optional street-level activities such as stopping crimes and rescuing civilians. Combat uses a free-flowing style with counterattacks and gadgets, and a Web-Rush mechanic lets players plan movement and strikes. A Hero and Menace reputation system rewards responding to crimes and penalizes ignoring them, which affects how the city and its enforcers treat Spider-Man. It is based on the continuity of the 2012 game rather than the films.

X-Men: Madness in the Murderworld is a 1989 game for PC, Commodore 64, and Amiga. If the X-Men are to save the day, the player must combine action and adventuring skills. A device to stop Magneto exists, but the pieces must be found. In total, there are over 500 scenes of combat and action. You can switch between the X-Men at any time, with their special abilities ranging from Wolverine's claws to the Nightcrawler's teleporting incorporated into their moves. Other X-Men regulars feature in the game, complete with their special abilities.

Marvel Super Hero Squad is an action beat-em-up game for one to four players that is based on the animated Marvel TV series. The game is based in Super Hero City and sees the Super Hero Squad battling against Dr. Doom’s Lethal Legion of villains. The story is that long ago the mighty Infinity Sword was shattered and nor Dr. Doom and his minions are seeking the pieces, the Infinity Fractals. Each fractal is immensely powerful and gives whoever possesses it special powers. Super Hero City is in danger and only the Super Hero Squad can save the day! With a story line like that the stage is set for lots of fighting, though the enemies can be targeted so players can throw objects and use long range attacks. Player(s) can either work their way through the story in Adventure Mode, or fight with other players in Battle Mode. The two modes of play offer different types of game-play and features: Adventure Mode: This is for two players and gives the player(s)•Six campaigns to recover the Infinity Fractals and gain new and super powers. •The chance to play as one of these characters: the Hulk, Falcon, Iron Man, Thor, Silver Surfer, or Wolverine. •Two unlockable campaigns featuring Spider-Man and Dr. Doom. •Co-operative play. •Unlockable characters, battle areas and costumes. Battle Mode: This allows up to four players. •Fight as a villain or super hero. •Choose from over 20 characters including Avengers, Fantastic Four, and the X-Men. •Use and create combination attacks.
