Monster Hunter Diary: Poka Poka Palico Village DX is the 3DS version of a spin-off installment in the Monster Hunter series, originally developed by FromSoftware and published by Capcom for the PlayStation Portable. The player gives orders to the felynes to progress to the end of quests instead of having direct control over them. The game uses a more cartoonish art style as opposed to the more realistic style seen in the main Monster Hunter games. More emphasis is placed on style and village management.

To bring energy and activities back to the village, he uses the gem stones the Airus found in the mines to create a puzzle game. Welcome to the puzzle festival. The victor is getting his wish granted, so all the cats and even some of the monsters, such as Jingaoh and Iiankuk drop everything that they are doing to play. The rules are simple, just line up the gem stones around the bomb and blast them away before the screen chokes up. Every time you blast the stones away, you'll get a chance to send your opponents the annoying Donguri blocks. This is the chance where even the smallest of cats can defeat the big bad dragon.

Having a usable ship, Django heads back to the place where they fought. The Solar Boy enters a cannon and is fired into space, landing at the Dark Castle. Django finds Carmilla before the last level and after talking, he decides to do all he can to save the world, even if that means losing his brother. Making it to the core, Django fights against Vanargand (and Sabata). After a long, arduous battle, Django defeats the creature. A pseudo bike battle then occurs. As Django makes it out into the sunlight, Otenko or Sabata (on his own bike) is freed from Vanargand. As they reach the end of the road, Django and Otenko or Sabata combine their powers and finish Vanargand.
