Multi-User Dungeon, or MUD (referred to as MUD1, to distinguish it from its successor, MUD2, and the MUD genre in general) is an early MUD and one of the oldest examples of a virtual world in existence.

3Kingdoms is a text-based adventure. In 3K, you "read" the world as you play and interact with it, using thousands of intuitive verb commands. Want to wield that sword you just found? You would enter "wield sword". Want to take a closer look at that desk in the secret room you just found? You would enter "examine desk" and then maybe follow up with "search desk" for a closer look. To help you out in the game, all you need to do is type "help" to give you access to 3K's expansive help files. Beyond that, the same files are available online right here if you ever need them.

Originally based on Merc/Diku code. Avatar is a highly modified, non-PK, newbie and family friendly Medieval Fantasy MUD. Players from many nationalities and from a wide age range are made welcome here. There are hundreds of socials as well as over 200 mainly custom areas containing over 12,000 rooms to explore and over 10,000 unique mobiles and items to find. Avatar has inline color, alias codes, gear saving and extensive backup systems implemented.
