Levels feature dynamic obstacles such as moving floors, portals, fires, and shifting layouts that complicate coordination. The sequel to Overcooked introduces a throwing mechanic for tossing ingredients across the kitchen and adds online multiplayer alongside local co-op.

Five new birthday themed levels, the new Tabby Cat chef, a recipe to make a cup of tea, and in-game Switcheroo mechanic where living playing cards stalk the levels transporting players across the kitchen, are all on the menu.
