Suikoden is a Japanese-style role-playing game with several unusual additions. There are three kinds of combat in the game, the most common one being the traditional turn-based party combat (players can have up to six people in their active party). Fishing is usually a relaxing sport, even in videogame form. Action Bass attempts to introduce people to the world of fishing, and comes in four play modes. In Challenge mode, you only get three minutes to catch a fish large enough to meet the weight requirement and place you within the top three fishermen. When you pass the first level, you'll have three other levels to defeat. Beating all four levels unlocks new lures and grants access to the Extra option. The second play mode in Action Bass is the Free mode, where you can freely fish in any of the four available areas and hone your fishing skills. Here you can discover the best spots to catch the bigger fish in less time in preparation for the Challenge mode. You also have the option of saving your fish for the Aquarium, the third mode in Action Bass, where the fish you caught in the Free mode can be viewed by moving in all directions around the fish.

Uki Uki Tsuri Tengoku Nagami Densetsu Oe is the latest one in the Teichiku fishing games for Playstation. Those games features fishing in islands. As a difference with the other games in the series the game uses the classic first person perspective and a third person perspective for the fishing part. This time the game takes place in the island of Hatsune and features lighthouses, fishing boats and different fish species and fishing spots. A lot of fish to be catched and different boats to use. The game features a complete encyclopedia with a lot of different kind of fish species.

Uki Uki Tsuri Tengoku - Kawa Monogatari in the second game in the Teichiku fishing games for PlayStation. Those games features fishing in islands. As a in the first game in the series the game uses the classic first person perspective. This time the game features 2 different game modes a story mode in which the player can try to catch fishes in different places of the island, watch animals in one part of the island and compete in fishing tournaments, the other game mode is free fishing in which the player select a fishing spot and try to catch fishes. The game features different fish species and fishing spots. The game features also a complete encyclopedia with a lot of different kind of fish species and recipes that are unlockables catching them in the story mode.

Suizokukan Project Fish Hunter e no Michi is a fishing game in which the player takes the role of a young man (millionaire) that remember when he was a kid and his father teach him how to fish he now have a tourist center with an aquarium as the main attraction. During the game he will have to catch different fish species to fill the aquarium. The player can go around the tourist center and visit all the places. The fishing part is in a third person perspective and the player can see the fishes that he caught in the aquarium. The player can train a dolphin to atrain possible visitors to the center, and try earn money to buy new things or fishes to the center. The game features mini games like cleaning the pool and others.

Uki Uki Tsuri Tengoku - Ningyo densetsu no nazo begins when the player's character (a fisherman) is taken by a plane to Mermaid Island (a fictional place where there are a lot of different fishing spots). The game features conversations with the island people and different fishing spots (with different fishing types) and lures. Easy to use and with a great variety of fish species the game got a great database of fishes and features a lot of hours of play. All the game use a first person perspective in the adventure and the fighing part. The player can fish on land or use a boat to go to other fishing spot of the island.
