In this game the player takes the role of a trained assassin named Meteor Blade. Together with his colleague Meng Xing Yun he was sent to kill an influential man. Unfortunately he has a lot of goons on his side which need to be dispatched. Meteor Blade is a standard 3rd person action game: the player clicks his mouse rapidly to hit his opponents. With the right key combinations he can perform combo attacks. Since the game uses a Far Eastern setting the player mostly uses swords or throwing knifes. The story is told by unvoiced texts which are reminiscent of chat texts known from online games: they appear on the upper side of the screen during game play.

Samurai Warriors 3: Xtreme Legends is the first standalone expansion of the 2009 title Samurai Warriors 3. The game introduces two new modes, the "Original Career" mode which allows the opportunity to create original scenarios by completing missions and acquiring gold to increase the player's abilities and strength, as well as the series staple "Challenge" mode that has three challenges of varying objectives. Along way Avenger badges can be collected, each badges 100 earns the player an extra live. Health can also be replenished. The levels of Iron Man, Captain America and the Hulk take place on the ground while Thor fly’s through the sky in his levels. Some sections involve climbing and the Hulk can pick up objects that can be hurled at enemies.
