Tempest

Tempest is a 1981 arcade game by Atari Inc., designed and programmed by Dave Theurer. It takes place on a three-dimensional surface, sometimes wrapped into a tube, which is viewed from one end and is divided into a dozen or more segments or lanes. The player controls a claw-shaped spaceship (named Blaster) that crawls along the near edge of the playfield, moving from segment to segment. Tempest was one of the first games to use Atari's Color-QuadraScan vector display technology. It was also the first game to allow the player to choose their starting level (a system Atari dubbed "SkillStep"). This feature increases the maximum starting level depending on the player's performance in the previous game, essentially allowing the player to continue. An official port was released for the Atari ST. An official port that bears the Atari logo was released by Superior Software for the BBC Micro and Acorn Electron in 1985, and another by Electric Dreams for the ZX Spectrum and Amstrad CPC in 1987. Versions for the Atari 2600 and 5200 were in the works in Atari, Inc. during 1984, and unfinished prototypes exist for both of them.

In Tempest 4000, players are once again in control of the Claw, a powerful spacecraft equipped to destroy deadly creatures and other obstructions with rapid-fire shots on vibrant geometric prisms. With three game modes to choose from and 100 levels to conquer, players must eliminate all enemies as quickly as possible to survive and achieve that coveted spot at the top of the leaderboards.

Tumble VR takes the the original, much loved, PlayStation 3 game and rebuilds it from the ground up for PlayStation VR - complete with a brand new visual style, a load of new levels and some great new modes. Tumble VR is best described as an accessible, fun, engaging and immersive puzzle game. When you pull the PlayStation VR headset on we place you in an arena that will test both your physical dexterity and mental skills. Working your way through a gauntlet of tests - from simply building a tower, to creating bridges, working out fiendish puzzles and blowing up enormous towers of blocks - Tumble VR will push your skills and brainpower to the limit. Alongside the new levels and visuals for Tumble VR, we have also added a new competitive mode. Ape Escape Academy sees you taking on the role of one of the cheeky monkeys from the Ape Escape series. Choose your chimp, then prepare to tackle various classes in Academy Mode. Each 'class' is actually a mini-game. Your goal is to complete as many mini-games as possible from the 9x9 grid, and score as many lines as you can (sort of like Noughts and Crosses). Mini-games range from mind-bending quizzes to wacky sports games, to the just plain silly, like protecting a roast banana from oncoming apes, or flying through the sky delivering parachutes to plummeting primates.

Game Party allows you to play 5 different games on one cartridge. The games involved are Air Hockey, Hockey, Pinball, Basketball, and Mind-Q. So grab a friend and start playing some good multiplayer games!
