The N-Gage version of Spider-Man 2 is a 2D platformer, with some 3D races against time between the 2D stages. In the 3D races, Spider-Man needs to move higher or lower between buildings to avoid obstacles. The 2D levels are more traditional: climbing walls and ceilings, slinging webs at opponents, taking pictures for the Daily Bugle newspaper, using spider sense to reveal secrets, etc. The events are loosely based on the story of the Spider-Man 2 movie. The game offers fifteen 2D levels, five 3D levels, some Spider-Man comics' classical villains as bosses (like The Lizard, Rhino, and Doc Ock) and a scoreboard on N-Gage Arena.

The game allows you to follow and interact with a new group of characters. The tale is a new one set in the North American Rocky Mountains during the timeline between ‘Dawn of Planet of the Apes’ and ‘War for Planet of the Apes.’ Explore your own morals and ethics as you drive the fortunes of an ape troop and band of human survivors. The Duel is a James Bond video game released for the Sega Master System, the Sega Game Gear, and the Sega Mega Drive / Genesis. The game was developed and published by Domark and released in 1993. Armed with a pistol, the player controls James Bond through various side-scrolling enemy bases to rescue female hostages and arm a bomb placed at a strategic point to destroy the base. Along the way, Bond must battle numerous thugs and familiar bosses. The game is notable among Bond games for a number of reasons. Although it was released 4 years after Timothy Dalton's last outing as James Bond, his likeness is used in the game, most notably the opening screens, thus making it Dalton's last appearance in a Bond game to date. It was also the final Bond game to be released by Domark. It was also the first Bond game not to be directly based on a movie or novel. Instead it featured an original storyline, albeit one featuring familiar villains including Jaws and Oddjob. Though the game's storyline was not its strong point, it did blaze a trail for future licence-holders EA, half of whose Bond output would be based on original storylines. One previous Bond game, Operation Stealth, included an original storyline but the game was originally based on a generic Bond-style character named John Glames and only had the licence added for its North American release.

Adventures of Tron is an action game produced by Mattel, and was released for the Atari 2600 in 1983. It is based on the Disney film Tron and received fairly positive reviews from critics. In the game the player took control of Tron who had to avoid a variety of attackers whilst navigating a grid with four floors. Several aspects of the film appeared in the game including Recognizers, Tanks and Solar Sailers.

The Lost World: Jurassic Park is an action-adventure video game developed by DreamWorks Interactive and Appaloosa Interactive, and published by Electronic Arts and Sega for the Sony PlayStation and Sega Saturn, respectively, in 1997. The Lost World: Jurassic Park is based on the film of the same name, which in turn is based on the novel by Michael Crichton. In 1998 a special edition of the game was released for the Sony PlayStation as a Greatest Hits title and featured several modifications to the gameplay.

In 1983 Bally midway released the follow up to the original Tron game titled Discs of Tron. In Discs of Tron the game recreates the disc fighting sequence of the movie where you progress through different platforms in a disc battle against the evil enemy Sark. Once again players utilize an 8-way joystick for moving with one button for firing and a rotary dial for controlling the direction of the fire.

Because of a rise of anti-mutant activity in Genosha, Professor Xavier uses Cerebro to scan the island nation and discovers Apocalypse's presence there. Genosha's government is apparently using Apocalypse to bring their mutant population under control. However, Xavier suspects Apocalypse to follow his own plans and sends five X-Men, Cyclops, Wolverine, Psylocke, Beast and Gambit, to investigate. X-Men: Mutant Apocalypse combines the gameplay of a side-scrolling brawler like Final Fight with elements of a platformer, that is, players have to fight various enemies and survive the occasional jumping-puzzle. Most levels also feature mid- and end-bosses in form of robots, monsters or known Super-Villains. Each character has unique abilities and special moves: Cyclops uses his Optic Blast to attack enemies from a distance, Wolverine can climb walls, Psylocke is very agile and the best jumper of the team, Beast can cling to the ceiling while Gambit throws explosive cards at his enemies. Special moves are quite similar to those found in Street Fighter II (Wolverine has a Dragon-Punch-style attack and Gambit's Double Kick is virtually identical to M. Bison's Scissors Kick), and require similar button combinations. While most stages are unique for each character, some can be played with any of the X-Men. Progress is saved via password.
