She leaves a trail of carnage throughout huge, multi-path levels filled with gigantic explosions, more secret areas than we can count, and inhuman foes behind every corner. There’s no regenerating health here; stop taking cover and start running and gunning. Shelly’s crusade to take down Heskel’s army will see her leave destruction in her wake with a wide arsenal of weapons, complete with alternate fire modes and different ammo types. Ion Fury laughs at the idea of mandatory checkpoints and straight paths through shooting galleries. But, just because this is a true old-school first-person shooter doesn’t mean we've ignored all the good new stuff the last two decades have brought. Headshots? Hell yeah. More physics and interactivity? You betcha. 3DRealms, Voidpoint and 1C Entertainment have taken the best of both worlds and cooked it all into a bloody stew.

Don't Knock Twice is a single-player first-person survival horror game with support for virtual reality headsets. The player explores a large manor house in search of a missing daughter, interacting with almost every object and following hints delivered through an in-game mobile phone. The Sinking City is a game of investigation genre taking place in a fictional open world inspired by the works of H.P. Lovecraft. The player incarnates a private investigator in 1920s, who finds himself in a city of New England, Oakmont Massachusetts. It's currently suffering from extensive waterflood, and its cause is clearly supernatural.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is a first-person shooter that serves as a reboot of the Modern Warfare sub-series. The game features a single-player campaign, cooperative Special Ops missions, and a multiplayer suite with cross-platform play. The campaign emphasizes tactical realism, with morally complex scenarios, civilian threat assessments, and night-vision operations. Multiplayer introduces a revised gunplay system with extensive weapon customization, a Realism mode that removes the HUD, a Ground War mode supporting over 100 players, and a 2v2 Gunfight mode. Post-launch, the game received the free-to-play battle royale mode Warzone. The traditional season pass was replaced with free content updates delivered through seasonal battle passes.

Rico is an arcade-style, first-person shooter inspired by modern action cinema. In the game you and a friend play as a pair of loose-cannon police partners, given twenty-four hours to crack a case as part of an elite organised crime taskforce. Ammo and enemies are plentiful, and combat is punchy and impactful, supported by an extensive destruction system that ensures every shot looks and feels great.
