Umihara Kawase Shun: Second Edition Complete

Umihara Kawase Shun is the second installment in the grappling hook-centric Umihara Kawase series. As in the previous game, Shun revolves around traversing levels with only a fishing rod that can attach itself to level geometry and taking advantage of physics to reach seemingly difficult places.

This edition is specifically Umihara Kawase Shun: Steam Edition, a standalone entry in the Umihara Kawase Trilogy. This is an adaptation of the DS and PSP releases.

Umihara Kawase is a series of platform games, starring a nineteen-year-old Japanese school girl (Kawase Umihara), who has somehow become lost in a world of mutated salt-water and fresh-water creatures. The Umihara Kawase games' main distinction are their tranquil fish and bird infested worlds and the rope physics, which defines the gameplay. This is the third game of the series.

Both the Super Famicom and PlayStation games are present, along with some extra levels, and wireless exchange of data is also supported.

A static screen action game in the style of Bubble Bobble or Don Doko Don, Pop 'n Magic allows you to trap enemies by firing your wand at them, then pick them up and throw them across the screen to destroy them. The bubbles they are trapped in are specific colours and care must be taken not to throw two of the same colour together as this will release the (now quite upset) creatures inside.
