Boxing manga/anime franchise Hajime no Ippo returns for the PS3. The game is a third-person fighting game following the Hajime no Ippo story.

Victorious Boxers: Revolution is a challenging, intense boxing title for the Wii. The first dedicated boxing title for the Wii, this game makes full use of its unique motion-control capabilities. Gameplay is realistic to appeal to sports and boxing fans, but also has an extensive Story Mode and many unique fighters with their own special moves, making it involving and easy to play for all audiences.

Developed by legendary Japanese developer Treasure, Hajime no Ippo is another solid boxing game based on the popular Japanese manga and anime of the same name. Unlike the two Victorious Boxer games, The Fighting was never released outside of Japan.

This game is based on the boxing Manga and Anime series "Hajime no Ippo" created by Jyoji "George" Morikawa. It was released only in Japan. The story focuses heavily on character development, even during the matches something is learned about the fighters. Ippo and his friendly rivalry with Miyata is the main draw in the early part of the series. That later changes to Ippo's path towards the Japanese Featherweight Championship and eventually the world championship. Along the way we are given glimpses into the other side character's pasts, motivations, relationships to others and current boxing trials. This is a simulation game in which the player choose what training wants the boxer to do each month and then watch him fighting.

A first-person boxing simulation that uses a unique control system which allows the player to experience both the strategic and physical aspects of boxing. Control manipulation is accomplished by motions similar to what might be seen in an actual prize fight.

Boxing is an action boxing game for one or two players which is played from an overhead point of view. The game lasts for two minutes, and the player who can earn the most points in that time wins. You earn one point for a long jab, two points for a close power punch, and if you can manage knockout it's worth one hundred points. Two difficulty levels are included which can be set individually for each player.

Legend of Success Joe puts players in the role of Joe, a young boxer aspiring to make it up the ranks of the boxing world. But all is not well in Joe's world, and between boxing matches he may have to contend with street thugs out for his blood. The game is viewed from a side 2D view, and Joe can move up and down within the backgrounds as well as forwards and backwards. Fighting consists of using the four basic boxing punches, the straight, the hook, the body blow, and the uppercut, to take opponents down. During boxing matches each boxer has three health bars on screen, with the second smaller than the first and the third smaller than the second. When a boxer's health bar is drained he gets knocked down, but can get back up. When the third health bar is drained that boxer is knocked out and loses the match.

Some of the fighters featured in the game are George Foreman, Roy Jones Jr., Rocky Marciano, Hector Camacho, and Jack Dempsey. Modes of play include Career, Exhibition, Tournament, and Quickbout. Players can create their own boxer and tweak his abilities in style, power, stamina, foot speed, and invincibility.
