The side-scrolling/top-down hybrid action adventure gameplay returns with a brand new sequel to Blaster Master Zero!
A sequel to Blaster Master Zero, this action Metroidvania picks up several months after the first game's events. Earth inventor Jason Frudnick had been led underground by a frog-like creature named Fred to SOPHIA III, an armored tank called a Metal Attacker belonging to the android girl Eve, who came from the distant planet Sophia to destroy the planet-consuming alien Mutants. Together they defeated the Mutant Overlord, but its core left Eve infected. Now the surviving Mutant cells within her have multiplied and threaten her life, and no cure can be found on Earth. Jason builds an improved space-faring tank, GAIA-SOPHIA, and sets out with Eve and Fred to reach the planet Sophia in search of medical aid. Their voyage carries them across a chain of distant planets, each guarded by its own Metal Attacker, pilot, and support android, while a vengeful pilot named Leibniz repeatedly bars their path, insisting the ailing Eve should simply be left to die.
