Captain America and the Avengers is an arcade game released by Data East in 1991. It features the Marvel Comics characters The Avengers in a side-scrolling brawling and shooting adventure to defeat the evil Red Skull.

This narrative-driven ensemble game stars Captain America Steve Rogers, Black Panther Azzuri (T'Challa's grandfather), U.S. soldier and member of the Howling Commandos Gabriel Jones, and leader of the fledgling Wakandan Spy Network, Nanali. All four characters will be playable at different parts of the story. According to Skydance, players can look forward to "intuitive controls and exhilarating second-to-second gameplay that captures the action and excitement of Marvel, inspired by landmark comics, television, and films, as they navigate this all-new glob-trotting adventure."

Marvel’s Avengers: Cosmic Cube was a post-launch content update for Marvel’s Avengers, released in June 2021. It introduced a new Villain Sector mission focused on battling Monica Rappaccini, who wields the power of the Cosmic Cube. The update expanded the game’s storyline with additional narrative elements tied to AIM and its experiments. Players faced new combat challenges designed around the Cosmic Cube’s abilities. The content was available as a free update for all owners of the base game.
