A third-person hack 'n' slash action game best known for enabling the player to use a variety of different sword swings to chop off limbs, heads and arms of opponents.

Severance: Blade of Darkness follows the fate of four characters and their quest to defeat an evil Necromancer and retrieve a legendary sword. The player can choose between the characters, who are a Knight, a Barbarian, A Dwarf and a Ranger/ Amazon type female character. All characters have different starting areas but eventually end up in the same levels. Yet, the sequence of the stages can be chosen as a world map in between the stages prompts you to decide where you want to go next, maybe look for help at the Dwarven Mines or go face the Orcs at their dwelling.

Heretic II is a third-person action game based on the Quake II engine that plunges you into a deep, compelling game combining brutal face-to-face combat and mystery-laden adventure. Gamers travel through complex, richly detailed environments filled with stunning special effects, wicked magic spells, detailed characters, vivid artwork and challenging level designs created by the Raven team and renowned fantasy artist Brom.

King's Field is a first-person 3D RPG which takes place in the underground tomb of the kingdom of Verdite. The player takes the role of Jean who explores 3D dungeons all alone in this dark fantasy-world with his sword and magic spells. A lot of challenges await Jean. The player will gain a great sense of accomplishment when overcoming tough situations in the game.

The game is set in ancient Persia. While the sultan is fighting a war in a foreign land, his vizier Jaffar, a wizard, seizes power. Jaffar's only obstacle to the throne is the Sultan's daughter (although the game never specifically mentions how). Jaffar locks her in a tower and orders her, under threat of execution, to become his wife. The game's nameless protagonist, whom the Princess loves, is thrown into the palace dungeons. The player must lead the protagonist out of the dungeons and to the palace tower, defeating Jaffar and freeing the Princess in under 60 minutes. In addition to guards, various traps and dungeons, the protagonist is further hindered by his own doppelgänger, an apparition of his own self that is conjured out of a magic mirror.

Moonstone: A Hard Days Knight, is a video game developed and published by Mindscape in 1991. It was released on the Amiga and one year later converted to MS-DOS with alternate sound and music. The title is a play on A Hard Day's Night. Moonstone's gameplay blends several different genres, including strategy, real time fighting and role-playing video games. It allows up to four players to participate in a basic turn based Role Playing Game with real time combat for any encounters. Battle Brothers is a turn based strategy RPG mix which has you leading a mercenary company in a gritty, low-power, medieval fantasy world. You decide where to go, whom to hire or to fight, what contracts to take and how to train and equip your men in a procedurally generated open world campaign. Do you have what it takes to lead them through bloody battles and to victory? The game consists of a strategic worldmap and a tactical combat layer. On the worldmap you can freely travel in order to take contracts that earn you good coin, find places worth looting, enemies worth pursuing or towns to resupply and hire men at. This is also where you manage, level up and equip your Battle Brothers. Once you engage a hostile party the game will switch to a tactical map where the actual fighting takes place as detailed turn based combat.
