As a spin-off of the FIFA lineage, FIFA Street combines arcade action with the culture of freestyle street soccer. By removing the rules from the simulation soccer experience, FIFA Street exposes the heart of the world's beautiful game, on-the-ball flair and individual style. Leading this movement are the worlds top professional players, showing off their skills and individual style in 4-on-4 match-ups against the backdrop of global venues that represent the true culture of street soccer. In the game's dynamic 1-on-1 encounters, beating your opponent will require skill, technique, and the careful selection of specific moves. Take on the best and earn their respect, gradually building your reputation and team into an unstoppable force that leads the tide of street soccer.

Soccer replaced the game Football in European export versions of the Magnavox Odyssey. It uses a custom screen overlay and two game cards, #3 and #5. The gameplay is a variant of Table Tennis in which the horizontal position of players is fixed (although not enforced by the Odyssey console itself). If a player manages to maneuver the ball around the opponent, the next volley will take place one step closer to the opponent's goal. Once a player has reached a position in the opponent's half of the playing field, a goal can be scored. The game also includes rules for penalty kicks, which require changing the game card.
This iteration of the FIFA lineage includes commentary from John Motson with summaries from Andy Gray, with the between-match sections covered by Des Lynam. All player moves are from David Ginola using the MotionBlending technology. Full interactive replays are included. You can play a league or cup tournament, and practice your skills before playing. The game can be tailored to action or simulation style, with fouls, injuries and offsides available to toggle on or off. This version also includes a 6 vs 6 indoor play mode, and various multiplayer options
