God of War is an action-adventure hack-and-slash video game developed by Santa Monica Studio and published by Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE). Initially launched for the PlayStation 2, the game stands as the first instalment in the God of War series and the third in chronological order. Loosely inspired by Greek mythology, it unfolds in ancient Greece with vengeance as its central theme. The player takes on the role of Kratos, the protagonist, a Spartan warrior devoted to the Olympian gods. Tasked by the goddess Athena, Kratos is assigned to eliminate Ares, the God of War and Kratos' former mentor. Ares had deceitfully manipulated Kratos into killing his wife and daughter. As Ares attacks Athens fueled by hatred for Athena, Kratos embarks on a quest to locate Pandora's Box, the sole object capable of permanently stopping the vengeful god.

These entities have the power to enable time travel, allowing Kratos to prevent his betrayal, and ultimately seek revenge on Zeus.

Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones is an action-adventure game blending acrobatic platforming, puzzle-solving, and hack and slash combat, and the final chapter of the Sands of Time trilogy. Players guide the Prince through the city of Babylon, running along walls, leaping between platforms, avoiding traps, and using the time-controlling Dagger of Time in combat and to recover from mistakes. A new Speed Kill system rewards well-timed stealth strikes to take down enemies quickly, and the Prince can wield secondary weapons taken from foes. At points he transforms into the Dark Prince, an alter ego that fights with a bladed whip called the Daggertail while steadily draining health. Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles is an on-rails light gun shooter video game developed by Capcom and Cavia as part of the Resident Evil series. Players assume the role of Native American space marine Joseph Turok, who is part of a team sent to a remote planet to apprehend his previous commanding officer, General Roland Kane, now a wanted war criminal. After crash landing, Turok discovers this planet is home to all manner of dinosaurs, and must fight both the predatory creatures and Kane's private army on his mission to take down his former mentor.
