Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands was a game made for the Nintendo Wii by Ubisoft Qubec. The game features a completely different storyline and setting from other versions of the game (under the same title), as well as totally different gameplay mechanics, as the game makes use of the Wii's motion control as well as conventional buttons. The Wii version of the game also features local multiplayer, in which a second player can aid the first player by freezing on-screen enemies or traps for them, or helping to unlock secret areas. Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands for the Wii also features some bonus content, such as unlockable in-game character skins, art galleries, developer diaries, bonus levels, and the original 1992 version of Prince of Persia. The game is popularly referred to as having last generation graphics and dull combat, but was generally praised for its unique and creative gameplay mechanics as well as its overall strong production values, including its unique storyline.

Prince of Persia: Warrior Within is a video game and sequel to Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. It picks up where The Sands of Time left off, adding new features, specifically, options in combat. The Prince now has the ability to wield two weapons at a time as well as the ability to steal his enemies' weapons and throw them. The Prince's repertoire of combat moves has been expanded into varying strings that allow players to attack enemies with more complexity than was possible in the previous game. Warrior Within has a darker tone than its predecessor adding in the ability for the Prince to dispatch his enemies with various finishing moves. In addition to the rewind, slow-down, and speed-up powers from The Sands of Time, the Prince also has a new sand power: a circular "wave" of sand that knocks down all surrounding enemies as well as damaging them.
Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones is an action-adventure game blending acrobatic platforming, puzzle-solving, and hack and slash combat, and the final chapter of the Sands of Time trilogy. Players guide the Prince through the city of Babylon, running along walls, leaping between platforms, avoiding traps, and using the time-controlling Dagger of Time in combat and to recover from mistakes. A new Speed Kill system rewards well-timed stealth strikes to take down enemies quickly, and the Prince can wield secondary weapons taken from foes. At points he transforms into the Dark Prince, an alter ego that fights with a bladed whip called the Daggertail while steadily draining health. The games mark a return to the storyline started by Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands is the title of four separate games with different storylines. The main game was developed for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Microsoft Windows, while the other three are exclusives for the PlayStation Portable, Nintendo DS, and Wii.
The game is set in ancient Persia. While the sultan is fighting a war in a foreign land, his vizier Jaffar, a wizard, seizes power. Jaffar's only obstacle to the throne is the Sultan's daughter (although the game never specifically mentions how). Jaffar locks her in a tower and orders her, under threat of execution, to become his wife. The game's nameless protagonist, whom the Princess loves, is thrown into the palace dungeons. The player must lead the protagonist out of the dungeons and to the palace tower, defeating Jaffar and freeing the Princess in under 60 minutes. In addition to guards, various traps and dungeons, the protagonist is further hindered by his own doppelgänger, an apparition of his own self that is conjured out of a magic mirror.
