King's Field: The Ancient City, known in Japan as King's Field IV, is a medieval-themed first-person role playing video game produced by From Software for the PlayStation 2 in 2001. It is the fourth game in the King's Field series and the last one released for home consoles.

Suikoden is a Japanese-style role-playing game with several unusual additions. There are three kinds of combat in the game, the most common one being the traditional turn-based party combat (players can have up to six people in their active party). Magic runes can be equipped on the player's characters which allow limited usage of offensive and healing spells. There are also a few army battles, where the player must control whole units of fighters, archers, magicians, etc., and one-on-one fights (duels).

Klonoa: Door to Phantomile is a side-scrolling platform game viewed from a "2.5D" perspective. The main character gets involved in a series of conflicts between gangs, classes, factions and worlds. He/she has to use the power of summons to solve those problems while trying to return to his or her own homeworld.

Weltorv Estleia is a non-linear role-playing game set in a medieval fantasy world with its own mythical history and lore. The background story involves a battle between seven legendary warriors, led by the young magician Ten, against an evil dragon. The player assumes the role of a nameless adventurer, male or female, who ventures to the city of Farbell. There, he or she is instructed to join the the Adventurers Guild, and eventually becomes involved in the grand struggle against dark forces threatening Estleia.

Pangaea is a multiplayer randomly-generated dungeon RPG designed to play like a board game. Nearly all actions in the game are decided by dice rolls, including the monsters fought, the effect of attacks and item use, contents of treasures, and even the layout of the dungeon itself -- entering an unmapped square will start a roll that decides the type of space that goes there.

Kuroi Hitomi no Noah: Cielgris Fantasm plays mostly like traditional Japanese-style RPGs such as Breath of Fire: the protagonist travels on the map and interacts with various people, and in her travels, also encounters monsters that she must fight. The encounters are typical turn-based battles in which the player assigns actions to be performed by the party members. However, Noah has the ability to befriend monsters and can recruit them when they have been weakened. They can then be summoned in battle to fight alongside the party members. At the end of battle, the participating members and monsters gain experience points to increase their level.

Neverland is a lush, green world told of in ancient traditions. Spectral Tower II is the second game in the RPG series released by Idea Factory for the PlayStation One console, the game begins with an intro in which the adventurer arrive to a town and after that he will meet another adventurer that will take him to the ruins of the evil tower that is located in the desert. The gameplay is in third person perspective using an overview view meanwhile the player is exploring the different floors of each tower, and also a third person perspective for the battle parts.
