As a result of resentment and distrust, the World Alliance has begun to split and the seeds for a new global war are being planted. Nowhere is safe, not even the skies. Seven new fighter jets for a total of 19 playable planes, including modern-day combat jets, classified "black ops" planes and futuristic fighters. Delta Wing is a flight simulator released by Creative Sparks in 1984. It was then later re-released by Mastertronic as part of their M.A.D. range of software. It also appeared on a Crash magazine covertape, given away with Issue 69, dated October 1989. Action is viewed from a first-person perspective, with the planes controls and cockpit visible at the bottom of the screen. After getting to grips with the controls, players can take off, land and go on bombing missions over enemy bases. Enemy planes will also try to hunt down the player, and these can be shot down with the plane's guns. There is a map screen available to show the positions of your bases where you can land to refuel, the enemy bases, and enemy planes.

The Cockpit is a Simulation game, developed and published by Taito Corporation, which was released in Japan in 1988. Though the game is limited to simulating runway landings only. After a successful touchdown you can progress to other airports around the country, each with increasing difficulty in the way of wind interference. The graphics and controls are quite basic, but the game still aims to provide immersion during each short landing sequence. The later versions on X68000 and PC-98 feature control tower speech and higher resolutions which add further realism to the simulation.

In Aces of War you take control of 40 different types of aircraft in an attempt to change the course of events.
