The gameplay is very similar to other Capcom beat 'em ups, such as Final Fight and Capcom's previous hack-and-slash fantasy title The King of Dragons. There are seven stages, each with its own boss and a variety of generic enemies that try to stop the players' progress. The fights rely strongly on blocking ability, which is triggered by pressing the attack button, then pressing the joystick away as the opponent strikes. If successful, the player gains a few seconds of invincibility with which to counter-attack. However, if no one strikes the player's character while holding the block, they will tire and drop their guard, making them vulnerable to attack. Blocking is vital in certain cases, since some bosses will be vulnerable only after their attack has been blocked by the player. As in most beat 'em ups, a desperation attack is performed by pressing both the attack and jump buttons simultaneously. This knocks out most enemies on the screen, but the player loses a little bit of health every time he uses it.

Enclave is a level-based action RPG game with a mix of shooting and puzzles, pitting the player as one of twelve different characters on either side in this medieval era. As a member of the Light side: a Knight, a Huntress, a Wizard, a Druid, an Engineer or a Halfling can be chosen. At the opposite end of the spectrum: a Berserker, an Assassin, a Sorceress, a Lich, a Bombardier, or a Goblin. The player needs to perform different tasks leading ultimately to one objective; protect the Enclave (Light) or invade the land (Dark). To accomplish these tasks, various weapons, such as swords, bows, staffs and spears, can be used. To aid the player, shields are readily available, as well as a select few potions. Armor is abundant and comes in many shapes and sizes.

Knight Online is a PvP-centric Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game that has been under continuous development for almost a decade. Two nations: El Morad and Karus - or more colloquially, humans and orcs - are locked in an eternal struggle for dominance of the Adonis Continent. The PvP in Knight Online is fast-paced, action-packed, and oftentimes frantic. Dozens of players can be seen clashing in PvP zones during all hours of the day. With events such as Lunar War and Castle Seige War, the action becomes massive! While PvP may be the beating heart of Knight Online, much of the game is spent embarking on quests, killing monsters, and - of course - collecting loot. The Upgrade System lets players tempt fate in an effort to improve their existing weapons, armor, or accessories (or lose them in the process!). With its unique ability to let players refine their skills and build their characters and equipment, Knight Online is able to entertain and excite its fans even after many years. An action game spin-off in the Total Warrior series. Play as a mighty Spartan trooper, and battle through hordes of enemies in large environments, while working with allies. Use ultra-violent special attacks to mow down entire groups of foes at once, with ridiculously bloody effect. The game has a fast-paced, arcade-like, mission-based gameplay. In each mission, you must succeed in minor goals like killing the generals of the opposition, escorting sappers to blow up enemy siege weaponry and preventing the enemy from making to behind your borders. The storyline progresses through cutscenes, shown in-between each mission. Depending on how you succeed in your mission, you get "tokens", which you can use to upgrade the health, damage or power of your character. The player is capable of doing special moves, which can be learned throughout the game. Some of the special moves gain their powers through the spartan gods, that aid the player in his battle. During the game, you can find different weapons like swords, bows and spears, and of course, shields.

Dungeon Fighter Online is a free-to-play multiplayer hack-and-slash RPG with a side-scrolling arcade style. There are currently 11 unique character classes. 3 classes have a mirrored class of the opposite gender with a 4th being added soon. Classes have Sub-classes to choose from and later has advancements of those classes to unlock upgraded skills. Of the 11 unique classes, 6 have 4 sub-classes, 3 have 2 sub-classes, and 2 have no sub-classes but still has advancements for new skills. Developed by the Korean company Neople in 2005 the game was released in Japan in 2006, China in 2007, Taiwan in 2009, and North America in 2010. The publisher Nexon shut the North American version down in 2013. Neople relaunched the game globally in 2016, with Season 2, adding new content and characters to the game. The game was released on the Xbox 360 Arcade under the title "Dungeon Fighter Live".

Gauntlet Legends is an arcade game released in 1998 by Atari Games. It is a fantasy themed hack and slash styled dungeon crawl game, a sequel to 1985's popular Gauntlet and 1986's Gauntlet II and marks the final game in the series to be produced by Atari Games. Its unusual features for an arcade game included passwords and characters that could be saved, enabling players to play over the course of a long period.

The game has 16 levels, though many are quite short. Much like Capcom's Knights of the Round, King of Dragons features an role-playing video game-like level advancement system. Points scored for killing monsters and picking up gold count towards experience, and the character gains levels at regular intervals. With each level, the character's health bar increases, other attributes such as range improve, and the character also becomes invulnerable for a few seconds. Along the way, different weapon and armor upgrades for each character may also be picked up. King of Dragons features a simple control system that consists of a single attack button, and a jump button. By pressing both buttons, the character unleashes a magical attack that strikes all enemies in screen (its strength varies according to the character used) at the expense of losing energy. The fighter, cleric and dwarf can also use their shield to block certain attacks by tilting the joystick back right before the impact. This is one of the many Capcom games to feature the yashichi power-up item. There are three such power-ups hidden throughout the game, each giving the player an extra continue.
