Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story is the third game in the Mario & Luigi series of games. Players control Mario and Luigi simultaneously in the side-scrolling platform environment of Bowser's body, while also controlling the Koopa King himself in the top-down world of the Mushroom Kingdom. Similar to games like Earthbound, enemy encounters are seen as actual enemies that players can avoid or attempt to strike early. The actual battles are a combination of turn-based menu attacks, and timed reactions to enemies during battle. By watching the way an enemy reacts, you can anticipate their attack and avoid it or counterattack.

The brothers return for a brand new adventure on the high seas! Set sail with Mario and Luigi on Shipshape Island (part ship, part island) and journey through the vast world of Concordia. Launch out of Shipshape’s cannon to visit, explore, and quest your way through islands that range from tropical rainforests to bustling cities. Meet new friends along the way, like Connie and Snoutlet (who's definitely not a pig), and encounter familiar faces from the Mushroom Kingdom like Peach and Bowser, who may help you on your journey! In addition to the game’s revamped graphics and refined gameplay, a new side story follows Bowser Jr. as he gathers an army, creates formations, supports his allies with an arsenal of moves and generally causes chaos (in the best way possible).

A new story added in Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr.'s Journey. This new addition to the main story sees Bowser Jr. as the titular character. While Bowser is occupied during the main story, this story sees Bowser Jr. on an adventure to cure the blorbs himself after it causes numerous minions to balloon up to an immobile state. Different from its predecessor (Minion Quest: The Search for Bowser, included in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions), it doesn't need to be accessed from within Bowser's Inside Story.

Thus, Moses becomes a Crystal Captor for destiny's sake, reluctantly allowing his adopted brother to tag along to aid him whose been enticed by the reward money. What epic adventure shall ensue on this quest to save some girl they don't know for some mysterious guy who appeared out of nowhere

A chaotic "Squishy RPG Adventure" gacha game where you'll discover a lot of cute characters, all with squishy cheeks which you can pull on whenever you want. It's parts a visual novel, parts a strategic card-based auto battler where making sure your "Apostles" (the characters that you can recruit) are thoroughly equipped with advantages before and during battles matters a lot. You do that before battles by levelling them up, equipping them with materials, serving them food, and increasing their stats through a "skill tree"-like board. Resources for each of these tasks can be earned through various game modes. During battles, between each round of combat, you're given sets of 3 cards to choose from, each of them with varying costs to a currency that replenishes after each round. While combat occurs, if your Apostle gets equipped with 4 stars through the use of your cards, you'll also be able to activate their senior skill (which will cool down after use for a set amount of time).
