NBA 2K (also known as NBA2K or Sega Sports: NBA 2000) is the first installment of the NBA 2K series. It was published by Sega Sports and developed by Visual Concepts. The cover features Allen Iverson of the Philadelphia 76ers

NBA 2K2 is a basketball video game. It is the third installment in the NBA 2K series of video games and it was developed by Visual Concepts and published by Sega Sports. It was released on October 24, 2001 on the Sega Dreamcast and later ported to the Sony PlayStation 2, Nintendo GameCube, and the Xbox in 2002. NBA 2K2 featured more street courts such as Mosswood, Fonde Rec Center, Venice Beach, etc. The game still featured the old street courts like in the previous game NBA 2K1. The NBA Live series of basketball video games, published by EA Sports, is currently one of the leading National Basketball Association simulations on the market. Starting from NBA Live 2000, the series featured NBA Live Legend All-Stars Teams, that included some biggest names from five decades (50s to 90s). These teams could be used instantly, but to use the players as regular players (e.g. traded, played on regular NBA Teams) they needed to be unlocked. Along the series, some of the rosters were changed due to many reasons as Michael Jordan was on the 90's team through 2004.

It was developed by Visual Concepts and published by Sega (as Sega Sports). It was the first NBA 2K game to feature online multiplayer and the first game to feature street courses instead of playing a game inside the arena in the first game, famous street courts such as The Cage, Rucker Park, Franklin Park, and Goat Park. It was released on November 1, 2000 in North America with the Dreamcast. Rapper Redman (rapper) appears in the video game

NBA Live 98 is a basketball video game based on the NBA and the fourth installment of the NBA Live series. The cover features Tim Hardaway of the Miami Heat. The game was developed by EA Sports and released on November 30, 1997 for the PlayStation, October 31, 1997 for the PC and December 31, 1997 for the Sega Saturn. It was the final version of NBA Live released for the Super NES, Genesis and Sega Saturn.

MVP is EA Sports' replacement for the aging Triple Play series. Re-written from the ground up, this rookie title includes a Homerun Showdown (not a derby - something a little different) and Franchise mode as well as the usual exhibition games. Many custom batting and pitching animations as well as vendors hawking hot-dogs and hecklers shouting player and team specific heckles - all in an effort to submerse you in the game.

NBA Live 2002 is the 2002 installment of the NBA Live video games series. The cover features Steve Francis as a member of the Houston Rockets. The game was developed by EA Sports and released on October 29, 2001 for the PlayStation 2, October 30, 2001 for the PlayStation and November 18, 2001 for the Xbox. This game was commentated by Don Poier and former NBA player Bob Elliot.[citation needed]

NBA Live 2004 is the 2004 installment of the NBA Live video games series. The cover features Vince Carter as a member of the Toronto Raptors and in Spain copies of NBA Live 2004, it features Raul Lopez. The game was developed by EA Sports and released in 2003. The game is similar graphically to NCAA March Madness 2004 and has the same create-a-player models.

NBA Live 99 is EA Sports' NBA release for the 1998–99 NBA season. Some of the major additions in Live 99 include Practice Mode and multi-season play featuring player development between seasons. Although it did not feature free agency or generated rookies, it would turn out to be the forerunner to Franchise Mode. Live 99 shipped with 1997-98 season rosters due to the NBA lockout of 1998–99 putting a hold on player movements and rookie signings during the summer of 1998.
